Help id please, plus...

Hello! Can anyone please identify this plant for me?

On the back of the id, is there a weedkiller/grass killer i could use to kill off the weeds and grass (buffalo mostly) that this plant is competing with without killing the plant itself (if that is even possible)? Or maybe its some sort of native grass itself?!

I don't know which grass that one is but there are a number of reasonably similar looking native ones. If you want to preserve it while getting rid of other grasses around it poisoning isn't the way to go. Grasses are susceptible to the same poisons. Hand pulling around the plants themselves will be necessary and then you could do spot spraying for the weed ones a bit further away. But watch for spray drift if it's windy (which isn't a good time to spray anyway) and use a nozzle setting that will give larger droplets.

Type in Swamp Foxtail Grass. It's becoming a weed in Sydney. U can tie up the grass like in a ponytail and hand remove or spray depending how good u are haha.

Thanks! They actually do have quite a bit of sun...most of the pics were taken at night so they would be more detailed. I haven't taken them out of their little pot that came with them..actually that soil (in the crammed pot) was almost too free draining...the soil doesn't hold any moisture....when I do separate them, I will ammend the soil! They were very wilted (and curled) when I got them...(had to take them home because of that...lol!) I hate to see plants that are just dying of thirst with no one paying attention. Do you really think that one is Haworthia fasciata....thought that was the one in the lower left corner of number 5? Have to run to work now, but will look the rest of your suggestions up this evening! Have more babies to share, too...Lowe's got their brand new shipments in!

Hosta Haven, Candice, I started to grow two Dancing in the Rain single-eye plants, they have leaf tears and have leaves melting and drying away. I did not realize initially the thin state of their leaves, gave them a 10% (of 10%) bleach bath for one hour following recent postings, but rinsed in clear water, and now that. I am surprised that they are not as sturdy as Blue Umbrellas, the lot of white might have something to do with it. Bernd

I have the same dishwasher only with front controls. So far it has worked like a champ (about 6 months) and is VERY quiet (almost silent). The cleaning has been awesome. Drying isn't the greatest but I knew that going in. I run it at night and in the morning everything is pretty dry. My biggest complaint would be loading it is a learning curve as the tines are to close together. I do believe these models are the German made ones. If I did it all over again I would probably get a Miele just to match the rest of my kitchen and I think it might be a bit better, not that this one is bad...

I use it and find it confusing. I would enable it and if it blocks something you want to see Right Click the item and tell it to allow. It used to give me a hard time, but now I forget it is installed. It seems to work very well. I also use Flashblock which I love. It blocks all flashing, jumping ads. If you want to see them you click on the space on the screen and they appear. Love, love both these add ons. Jane
