As I age, my hobbies change. Some on here will remember how Cactus & Succulent crazy I was for years... pretty much gone. I moved in 2004 and my microclimate changed drastically. So I had to change what I grew. Orchids became more prevelant, which devolved into mostly Oncidiums and Cymbidium orchids! The microclimate involved many more epiphytics, AND there was a YARD involved so more in ground gardening and less container gardening. In 2007 my career changed paths (totally UNEXPECTED paths) and I've been learning a whole new industry since then. May of this year saw me promoted into a Manager position, in a one person office, so it is All Me. (That sucks up way more of my time than I like.) Outlet is the general term for any wiring that terminates at a wall or ceiling. Outlet covers can be designed for a receptacle, a switch, a cable, etc. so they can be called receptacle covers, switch covers, etc. If they are plain/undecorated they are often called plates as in "switchplate". So these terms can be used interchangeably or together. Nevertheless the distinction between a lighting outlet and a receptacle outlet is important. The code requires a switched lighting outlet in a habitable room but has an exception allowing it to be a receptacle outlet for "cord connected lighting". This exception is important because it is sometimes deleted by state or local amendments. A switched receptacle should not have a dimmer switch in order to avoid damage to other appliances. Make sure the fan outlet system (hanger brace & box with hook) is labeled as suitable for supporting a fan. If the weight of the fan is greater than 35 lbs., the box must be labeled with the maximum weight it can support (70 lbs. max.)

This version of Poldark was much better than the original one which I watched some years ago - perhaps it's the brooding intensity of Aidan Turner. They are now filming season 2 and the BBC stated that Poldark might be the long running drama they're seeking as a replacement for Downton Abbey. There are 12 novels in Winston Graham's Cornwall series covering the years 1783 to 1820. No air date set yet but they hinted maybe spring 2016. Outlander is also filming and just switched locations. Ron Moore did a Q&A last week and said while he's not in charge of scheduling that we should anticipate late March or April 2016.

I just remembered another "cinematography" movie, "The Shape of Water." I found the plot a tad nonsensical even though it is fantasy fiction, and slow, but the cinematography is fantastic. And speaking of Julianne Moore, another cinematography movie she is in is "Far From Heaven." It's a gorgeous homage to the late 50s which is odd since the plot is not remotely related to the scenery, but maybe that is also a commentary. Lots of social commentary in that movie, which made the acting a little wooden, IMHO, but actually still relevant as far as the content.
