Hola, (I posted on Ikeafans. Hoping someone here could also help). Anyway to extend or lengthen the depth of a Rationell drawer? Opposite of the thread below (shortening the drawer), I need just about 1-2 inches longer. I'm trying to squeeze 2 Rationell trash containers under my sink cab. I just made this work. I have a tall wall cabinet that is Akurum. It already had 2 drawers on the bottom, but the top section is just shelves. It is 36 wide by 24 depth. I purchased the Maximera low drawer that is 36x24 and the Utrusta low drawer front that is 36 wide. I plan to purchase a tall drawer now as well, and I feel like it will work just fine. I had to drill the back hole for the side rails, and had to carefully place the drawers so they do not hit the cabinet door hardware and not be able to open. Using the pivot screw adjustment screws (the screw towards the front when looking at the attached hardware on the cabinet door), I made sure that the cabinet is as flush as possible with the frame when the doors are open. This does result in a gap between the doors when closed, I don't really care about that, because now I have a nice pantry! One thing to note is that is takes a little bit of fidgeting to get the drawer out at first, but then it slides out and back in easily.

I used the Maximera with one of my custom cabinet. You just measure and put blocks on either side if it's too short.

In my I-hope-it's-temporary kitchen, I've added a 30" IKEA cabinet with 3 drawers left over from a change in my last kitchen. I've made drawer fronts for the cabinet. but need to know where to drill the holes to attach it to the Maximera drawers. Now that popping down to IKEA to get a cheap drawer is not an option, I am hoping someone can help me with this! If you have a drawer front, please share the measurements for the holes to attach it to the drawer. Thanks!
