Dual Fuel Slide in Range Recommendations

I am looking to replace my 12 year old jenn air slide in with a new duel fuel range in the $3000 price range. We are considering the new jenn-air which has a lot of features and the handle matched our kitchenaid fridge or the bosch slide-in. Looking for sealed burners, stainless steel and prefer the 5 burner with a griddle.

Any opinions s or recommendations are appreciated.

Doing something similar myself- looking for a dual fuel free-standing range, and leaning toward Electrolux or Kitchen Aid. Anyways, my advice and observations: 1, apply the laws of physics as you know them. What happens to circuit boards if they are placed right next to the broiler? They fry! Look for an oven with (a) less rather than more electronics or (2) one that has the circuit board isolated from the broiler, has good air-flow around it (up and out from the oven) or somehow has considered the practical, rather than the aesthetic realities of circuit boards. 2, Look at what you cannot buy but make it the ideal - I am looking at Wolf ranges and cannot afford one, but I can see they have 4 not 5 burners, they have mechanical controls, minimalist electronics, not steam cleaning, etc. 3, To revisit points 1 and 2, circuit board failure is a big cause of problems, which is why the new self-cleaning technology is steam based- problem- it does not generate the high temperatures (circuit board frying) required to remove dirt from your oven (dirt buning). Stick with the old technology that works. 4, Nothing wrong with scratch and dent or last year's model, especially if you want to get something that you would otherwise not be able to afford. 5- watch your CFM's on your exhaust vent- it may limit what you can buy (BTU of stovetop not to be more than 10x CFM.) 6 Be mindful of buyer's remorse/ regret- it may very well happen- it is just an oven, it will not change your life or make you a complete person. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buyer%27s_remorse

I always took ovens for granted but if you pick the wrong one now days it can make your life miserable at least when you have to bake. I have had 5 ovens (2brands) in my oven slot plus other repairs. With this remodel. I would learn to use the search bar and start reading.

I come on here about 1to3 times a week and rarely post anything. When I do it is in response to what I know about which at this point is gas stoves because I spent a year researching them. I usually mention NXR's because very few people know about them, in fact less than a year ago I had never heard of one either but fortunately saw a few owners of NXR's on this website that got me interested in them. There are no NXR showrooms near me either, there are several along the East Coast and several on the West coast. My wife & I were going to Florida to visit friends and I thought I would check to see if there was a place to see, touch, feel, slam and bang an NXR stove along the way. We found a place in Tampa Florida, was about a 2 hour detour for us but decided to stop by and check it out, glad we did because we were sold as soon as we saw it. The place we bought it from said they have sold quite a few over the years and have never had one come back. He then opened the oven door and stood on it with his full weight, probably about 190-200# just show how well built the stove was. We bought one from them because they had as good a price as any we had found anywhere ($1799.00). I can basically guarantee the NXR is better than the 3 you listed but I fully understand not wanting to buy something sight unseen, we didn't.

I was pretty set on the Elux DF but my trusted appliance guy told me he would recommend the GE 10 out 10 times (this is for the monogram, not the cafe). I went with the GE, but haven't used it yet. :/ Looks nice though and has the roll out racks.

It looks like my only choice for a slide-in with downdraft is the Jenn-Air JDS1750EB There is also a KitchenAid version of that range, which you may like the look and price of better. Your other option would be a Dacor slide in. They don't have an integrated downdraft, but instead they are compatible with pop-up downdrafts, which are definitely more effective ventilators than the integrated ones. I haven't seen any reviews on Dacor ranges lately, though. Is it a good stove? It came out pretty recently, so there aren't many reviews yet. There have been some reviews of the all gas and dual fuel non-downdraft versions here, which overall have been positive. http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/2812795/early-review-new-jenn-air-slide-in-gas-range So, back to my question: when I can no longer get repairs and do need to replace, will I be able to replace the range I have with a slide-in? Anyone have a Bosch Dual Fuel slide-in range?

If you have a Bosch Benchmark or 800 Dual Fuel slide-in range, does it have the delay start feature? The manual doesn't mention it. I need to be able to set an oven start time, so if it doesn't have that feature, I'll stick with my GE Cafe DF. Also, can you light the burner manually during a power outage? That's another thing the manual doesn't mention, and when I called Bosch, they said they think it does.
