Here's the Entertainment Weekly recap. That was a real marathon night! I think it's because NCAA basketball in on CBS and that messes up schedules for Survivor and Amazing Race for a couple of weeks.

I found last night very entertaining. The look on the girls face at tribal, the one with the long dark hair, was priceless! And I'm glad about who went home. The challenges are kicking their butts! Man oh day, they took some thumps last night.

That tall girl, I don't know what it is, I just don't like her. I do however like Jenn on the no collar tribe, she's hilarious the stuff she says. I like the tall blonde guy on the white collar tribe and two of the 3 guys on the blue collar. Mr. Yo New York Accent, he's an @ss. Banana Hammock is a dumb @ss but not a jerk like New York Accent.

This season is far and away better than the entire last season already.

Ugh. I wouldn't mind choosing half of the contestants and sending them home. I actually wish they had kept the tribes as they were for a while longer; the show goes downhill immediately when the balance between two tribes is lopsided to the degree it is now.

I just watched it online, and loved it. I love the switched up tribes. Good riddance to Max, next Shirin. What an annoying pair. I am starting to have favorites. My first is the state trooper lady--she is smart and socially adept. I still like Joe from the no collars. I also like Jenn (the vegetarian who found the idol without a clue). I dislike the bro from Boston, the fat jerk with the grey beard who thinks he knows everything about women and knows nothing, and greasy Joaquin. Can't wait until Wednesday. Oh, Shirin of course is at the top of the dislike list. Her face after Max was voted was priceless!

I'm with you on favorites. I also like Tyler and Carolyn.

It was a very unfortunate division of the tribes with an all male tribe. They are very favored now over the other tribe. I was glad to see the loser go home. I am hoping all the naked people go home. It's bad enough having to see them in barely there clothes. Especially with all the bug bites and ick.
I am very curious and grossed out by what the big speedo guy said. He said he was out in the water took down his manties to do his business and they washed away. Does that mean they are going into the water to poop? That is just so very gross. You are floating around in your own mess literally. There is an entire jungle out there go dig a hole! I really bet they have some type of facilities for them to use that we don't see. Like an outhouse or something. I feel sorry for the fish!!!! And now you want to eat those fish? Surely there is some type of sanitary situation especially for the younger women who are having a period?? I guess those are things we are not supposed to think about and question.

I doubt the girls are having periods out there. I'm sure they're given a pill or implant or something to delay it. They're only out there for a little over a month.

A: Each tribe had to dig their own toilet pit in the bushes, a safe
distance from camp. No toilet paper was issued so they used leaves or other
improvised items.

oK SEE THAT MAKES SENSE. but going in the water makes no sense at all. No way would I do that. You would be in your own waste. yuck.

I knew they had to be providing something for the girls issues of course someone would be having a period while there. Glad to hear they do at least take them into consideration and provide for them.

Hope none of those leaves are the poison variety!

For me it consisted of.

1. Find a tree.
2. Dig a hole next to the tree
3. Remove pants
4. Hold on to the tree and squat over the hole.
5. Find a large leaf

It's not great, but it wasn't a disaster either. The good news is
that you don't do this much because you're not eating. Alex from my
season went about 3 weeks without having to go.

There was nothing in the provided link to support your statement about the contestants "go[ing] in the shallow ocean, in the sand." Nor was there anything to support that in the information from the camera guy (in the link that Raven provided).

Will you please tell us where you got that statement? Thanks.

It's been discussed for years on the various blogs/interviews with contestants. The method was "invented" by Richard Hatch in season 1.

"Nature's toilet". Here's just one reference to it, there are plenty more. Ways to go.

Going in the ocean isn't like going in a pool, there's so much wave and tidal action that it would be washed away pretty quickly. Many towns and cities around the world flush their sewer right into the ocean and we all eat fish. Not saying it's a good idea, but I don't think it will kill you (at least not right away, ha).
