Somat Dishwasher Cleaner

I took a flyer on Somat's dishwasher cleaner/conditioner when ordering from persilstore. It is said to remove fats, starches, and other food residue and will keep dw bacteria free (ie. non-smelly). Mine didn't smell but in 12 years, I've never used a cleaner or conditioner and thought it might be time.

It's an odd process and not inexpensive, about $10. It comes in a small red bottle with a foil cover. The foil is removed and the bottle hangs upside down in the empty dishwasher. There is some type of seal on the bottle that is left untouched.

Instructions are to run it on the hottest temperature -- in my case Sanitary. When the cycle finishes, the bottle is empty and the dishwasher smells wonderful and is sparkling.

I can't say I need it very often but I could see using it once a year. Very pleased with the product.
