Marvel 48" Side-by-Side Built-In Refrigerator
Comments (32)On my end, I'm still happy with the purchase (especially in light of the cost savings), but I have experienced a few issues. 1. The seal (at the base of the freezer where ice tends to build up) has cracked slightly, so I have experienced a minor drip as well. But that is nothing that a little replacement putty can't fix. 2. The hinge on the refrigerator makes a click sound once you get past a certain point. It hasn't bothered me enough to call Marvel though. 3. I guess the last thing is the noise. The refrigerator was pretty quite the first several months... certainly quieter than the posts on Houzz make it out to be. But in the past few months it has started to get a little bit louder. It's not loud enough to be a nuisance when you're having a conversation in the kitchen, but it's a bit louder than it was out of the box. At the price I paid, I would also buy again. But if price were no object, I would probably go for one of the luxury brand names....See MoreMarvel Full Size Refrigerators
Comments (11)Just bumping this thread to see if anyone has anymore insight or experience with the Marvel Full Size refrigerator units. We're interested in the 36" full refrigerator and 36" full freezer for our new kitchen. (We were also toying around with the idea of AGA ranges.) I heard from one distributor that they have had complaints about their doors not having a "stop," so they swing completely open and slam into surrounding cabinetry/appliances, etc. I don't know how accurate that is? Being that we have 4 young children, it is a consideration for us, but I'm not ready to write them off just for that. Thanks in advance! :)...See MoreDoes anyone have True brand undercounter refrigerator drawers?
Comments (4)I've decided to do the same. Getting a 36" Bosch counter depth and adding in one or two drawers, which gives us all the space we need without getting into $10K+ refrigeration costs. I have never had a Kitchenaid appliance or small appliance that was durable or that performed to satisfaction, or where replacement parts were not exorbitantly priced. So I generally avoid KA/Whirlpool products. Do you need panel ready? If not, GE Café seems like a good, lower-priced option. For panelled or for a larger size, the Fisher-Paykel looked really good when I saw it in the showroom. It is 34", roomy and nicely laid out inside IMO with interior sliding compartments and temperature configurations for each level (you can even convert it into a deep freezer). It comes as a single drawer, but costs as much as GE's double drawer for less cubic feet (3.1 vs 5.7)....See MoreAnyone have experience with a Fisher Paykel French Door Refrigerator?
Comments (2)I have a FD Fisher Paykel refrigerator. We will have had it 2 yrs in Oct 2021. It works great and was the only fridge that was shallow enough and truly even close to counter depth that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I don't like the pull out freezer drawer but there are two smaller drawers and they do OK as long as you are neat :). The water filter for the ice maker is $80 a year but it does a great job and is easy to change. It is a very cold fridge and keeps everything very fresh. I have no complaints. We haven't needed any service so I can't speak to that. We did get a great deal when we bought it and got a 5 yr warranty....See Moreplllog
