What browser are you using? Are you seeing this every time you use the back button or just when you've entered text into the box and choose to not publish it?

I use firefox, and have never seen that box.

I see it, the same as BLFenton. I use Chrome and Opera.

Yes, I've been getting it this week, using Firefox, sometimes when I hit the back button, or when I use the refresh button in the URL box.

Edited to add: It just happened after I edited, and tried to use the refresh button or back button after editing--guess I'll need to be more careful with spelling if I don't want to see that message pop up. ;)

Nope. I post a comment and hit the back button after I hit submit. IE 11 here.

I see it after I edit and re-submit a comment. I just hit leave page and everything seems fine.

On my android tablet using boat browser I have seen it several times after editing my post and hitting the back button, I click to leave page when I know the edit has been posted.

I'm getting the annoying popup at times when I definitely shouldn't! I'm using Firefox here and, oddly, I seem to get the popup whenever I hit the 'back' button while viewing any thread where I have previously edited a post. weird. good one. :)

I am also. Sometimes when I click on submit to post a message, sometimes when I click the back arrow just to go back. I'm using IE. This is the only site it happens on, for me.

I get it when I hit the back arrow. I know I can just click out of it but it is annoying and I like to know the why of things. I asked this question in a help forum and he said as I stated above it is built into the web site for some reason. He also had me do a test, sent me to a web site and had me use the back arrow and it happened there so I guess he knew what he was talking about. I am using FF.

Someone saw my question in the FF help and suggested an ad on. I have installed it and will test it with this reply. It is call disallow script button. The instructions are a little hard to understand.

Sorry Tamara, I did not read your question carefully. It does that after I edit the reply and then use the back arrow to leave that thread. Checking again.

I took this to the testing section and I think I have it stopped. Just checked again.

No Tamara. I just posted a picture, and it worked fine.

I wasn't paying any attention to when it happened until others mentioned it. It does it when I edit a reply then hit the back arrow to back to the list of topics. I make a replay and try to be so careful how I word it so I don't offend anyone, so I often edit my posts. That plus working with a very old brain. LOL I went to the test area and no matter what I do with the ad on, I can't get it to stop. I will just have to learn to live with it.

Tamara, are you there? I was just on a page where I had previously edited a comment and the comment had been submitted.... I selected a bookmark (not the 'back' button) and got the popup asking to confirm leaving the page. :p

I clicked on a bookmark, and then the backspace. I wasn't asked, either way.

I started another reply and decided it wasn't worth posting and used the back arrow and I got the message. It has to do with your work being saved, but the garden web didn't need have it or need it. This seems to be something new, I am not doing updates so it is not caused by that. The lady who does my floors said her and her husband just started seeing that message about the same time I did and they don't us this site. They use FF and it may be something they did. I am going to look around in about:config and see if I see anything about leave page. They started putting snippets on their start page and I stopped those in about:config

I google the message and about:config and you should see the stuff I found. I lot of people are trying to stop this message.

I only get that message when I edit one of my posts or start to post something and decide not to. Just the act of clicking into the reply box triggers it.

Not a big deal to me, all forum layouts come with a learning curve.
