Agalinis auriculata and other imperiled species for your garden

Has any of you tried to introduce a locally imperiled/endangered plant into your garden?

I noticed that Prairie Moon recently added Agalinis auriculata (formerly Tomanthera auriculata), a type of false foxglove, to their offerings:

This is listed as an imperiled plant in Missouri. There's a good picture of it here:

I ordered some seeds. I guess I have a sort of fascination with growing endangered species in my yard, as if I were being challenged to solve a puzzle. I doubt that I am really helping boost the plants' populations, though I suppose it's possible that seeds could be carried from my yard to wilder places in the area and establish themselves.

This particular plant is an annual that appears to need periodic disturbance to compete, and it's hemiparasitic. My idea is to try and plant it with Helianthus occidentalis and a tall grass or two in a neglected, unfenced area at the back of my property that's been dominated by pokeweed in recent years.
