My favorite is Ozzie because of how he just has it all - fitness, outdoor savvy and skill, and brains (I thought!). To me, he deserves to win...well up until he had to blab to 3 people that he has the immunity idol! What the heck was he thinking?! Did he not know that the teams would be switched up at some point? Or that his friends are going to have to be his adversaries at some point, when the players dwindle down to just a few?! And even if none of these things were to happen, it only makes sense to keep that information to yourself. ANYONE would know that without thinking, it seems to me. And when he took it from his backpack and hid it on their island/beach, I just knew they were going to have to switch camps and then he would be separated from it. But luckily for him, the new group that he is in is the one that went to the same camp he was at previously. I can see that he might think someone could sneak into his backpack and find it, since that is what happened last season, but still, hiding it on the island seemed risky too. I also like James and I like Cirie too. I know she has some 'anti-fans' and I can see why, but to me, she is playing the game smart, in the only way she has open to her. She wants to win as much as anyone, and she realizes it won't be by strength or athleticism. But, yeah - voting the strong ones off is risky too, with competitions to win. But I think it is a risk she has to take if she wants to have a chance to win. But with her stategy, Ozzie may be the next target. When it comes down to INDIVIDUAL challanges, Ozzie (Ozzy?) will be almost assured to win them all, right to the end. ALthough if James is still there, he may be right up there with Ozzy. I don't feel one way or the other about Chet, really. I realize he is NO help to his team, but then that was just HORRIBLY disrespectful of 'Tank' to purposely and disdainfully drag him along. That guy is just full of spite. Ugh! Not pretty! I don't like Parvati either. Mostly, I think, because of how she uses sex appeal and heavy flirting etc. has her weapon - her leverage to keep in the game. She did it in her other season too, and now it's the same in this one. It smacks of 'prostitution' - not in actuality, but in attitude and spirit. Joel - I really dislike how he hammered on and on at Cirie one or two episodes ago when she dared to disagree with him over how that group should vote. I realize he wanted his way as much as she wanted her view to predominate, but still, he was just so unrelenting and ugly about it. The weak ones banding together to make it farther in the game, at the expense of the stronger ones, kind of goes against what we feel is normal and right, but it certainly is inovative and a good plan for them personally. Otherwise they are just pawns to be dispatched without a thought, as soon as necessary. Oh! And I have to hand it to Amanda for catching that shark! Barehanded, wasn't it? Last night's show was OK. I guess we have had some pretty exciting episodes, so the run-of-the-mill kind seem boreing. I must have missed the preview. I would sure hate to see Matt injured enough to go home. I like both Rob and Matt and wouldn't mind the two of them at the end. Phil is so unpredictable, I could easily see him going to the other tribe after the merge. Wow! Next week they merge and the one from the island goes back. Doing that at the same time as the merge means he is not going back to one particular team. Matt doesn't really know either tribe well, and the tribe he started out with, are the ones that got rid of him. This could be very interesting! I like the way Julie plays under the radar. She isn't really noticed, but puts her ideas in enough to show value. With the women down to nobody else, she is in danger just by being out-numbered by the guys. She is a good player.

Of course, I'm going by the bios that are posted on the CBS/Survivor web site... Nowhere does it say that Amanda "left school at 16 to model and 'beauty queen'" -- it says that "She began modeling in Chicago at the age of 16 where she lived on her own for one year." Do you also assume that child actors don't get an education because they're on the set every day? And, plenty of people "put themselves through school." It's called working to earn the money to pay your own tuition and buy your own books, pay your rent, etc., etc. My husband put himself through college AND law school (and passed the most difficult Bar exam in the US -- the California Bar exam -- the first and only time he took it). She and her family moved to Atlanta when she was 11 years old. Shallow put herself through college, attending the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with minors in French and Italian. While in college, she was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and is a huge Bulldog fan! A nature lover at heart, Shallow has spent extensive amounts of time camping and hiking through North America's state parks including the Tetons and Yellowstone. While in college, she organized a two-month backpacking trip through Europe where she and two friends visited 13 countries, sleeping in youth hostels, train stations, on beaches and park benches. I did. Coach cracks me up. He kept asking Mikayla to step out of the challenge because she wasn't hitting anything. Well, neither was he! lol Then he got even more angry because she refused to do as she was told. And he had a not very flattering reason for keeping Edna on. "She will do as she is told." Even suggesting that she would wipe someones behind if he told her to. sheesh! If they refuse to vote out coach, I don't know why they don't get rid of Branden, and I don't know why they didn't get rid of Edna. she has never played in a competition other than the first one? really? I can't believe that the cowboy didn't vote for Edna. But when the little strange man (Brandon) started talking about personal honor, and the camera cut to Mr. Cowboy's face, I just KNEW he was going to vote with coach. Geez. Redemption island, the blonde lady is kind of funny. Giving her tribe the finger. LOL
