That's a shame, sorry to hear about it. I'm a plumber and when I used to work for a guy who did sewer replacements I would dig up the plants and bushes for the homeowner and set them aside in a nice shady place so I could return them when we were done. Can't you get a landscapers to do that for you?

The larger capacity batteries are a huge benefit - but add to weight. End use determines! For my clients I usually go OEM, because of warranty and support - like recalls for example - is usually (but not always) better. Some 3rd parties provide excellent quality in many case using OEM products. However the thing to consider is battery price vs putting that money to a new unit, cinsidering the curret prices, Sorry I do not have a supplier to recommend. On occasion Radio Shack will have a sale, we got a Fedco Energy+ that way, it was in fact a genuine Toshiba battery under thier stickers.

I was going to suggest JC Penney, but I see you've already been there. Does the lamp have to shed a lot of light? If not, take a look at this. Seeing as you want something "different and more stylish," think about making your own lamp. You could wire a vase, urn, or piece of driftwood. Or buy a lamp you aren't 100% crazy about and cover it up with paint, fabric, colored yarn or wire, or mosaic tiles.
