I initially didn't plan for any knobs/pulls on my cab above hood for the exact reason already mentioned. It looked like I "forgot" to put them on, were the comments

Nice hood. I think it would look best with knobs/pulls on the right side of the left door and the left side of the right door and no hardware on the middle one. Hopefully the doors are hinged such that you could do it that way

I love your hood design. I wanted to do Conestoga inset cabs, but they don't ship where I live. Anyways, I would definately want symmetry, especially on a focal point like a hood cover. I was just looking at another thread (on front page list) about matchbox latches. I have no idea if this would be possible, but here is my crazy thought anyways. What if you made the middle door not open up. Then use two matchbox latches to connect the two outside doors towards the middle panel. Since the vent is in the middle you would only use the little spaces on the sides anyways. If you don't like the latches you could use whatever you like, pull or knob. I'm a visual person so I had to cut out mock pulls out of painters tape in different sizes before I could make the decision to order mine. Maybe try that method until something feels right.

I think if you don't put one in the middle, it will look like you forgot that one. I have 3 doors over my refrigerator, and put them all in the middle of the bottom rail. I also have 3 over my hood, but since they didn't make them operable for some reason, they don't have any knobs. They look fine to me that way.

Thank you so much for posting this question. I am in exactly the same position. Our hood has two operational doors and I was not planning on installing hardware. However, over the past couple of weeks it jumps out at me as though it was "overlooked". So, I will install some.

My suggestion for your 3 doors ~ install hardware on the two outside doors as badergal suggested. Live with that for a week or so and if you don't like it ~ install hardware on the middle door as well.

That allows you to keep your options open.

You could also mock it up-make some cardboard facsimiles of the pulls you are considering and then play around with the placements.

I vote for "no knobs". If they need to open, I would use touch latches.

My inclination is no knobs, at least until you have all your other hardware installed & have lived with your kitchen a bit. You can always add knobs.

No knobs if you're not going to actually be using the doors. I'll bet in a year you don't even notice it.

No knobs if you don't really use the doors. Many vent hood pics I've seen don't have knobs, isn't that more common? I don't know.

Touch latch in link; to open the door, you just push on it, which unlocks it and pushes the door open far enough to grasp the edge. To close it, push it shut until the magnet catches it.

I think I might try no knobs for a while and see how it looks. If it bothers me, I can add knobs latter.

This is what I more typically see when browsing kitchen pics, no knobs.

I have the touch latches on cabs above range hood. Because they are functional doors and not 1 piece panel like happyallison posted, it still looked odd without knobs. So I now have the magnetc latches AND knobs. The knobs are there for looks/symmetry. I do have a metal hood, not the wood hood, maybe that's the diff. Also I notice the wood front panel posted by happyallison stretches up to the crown, whereas my upper, upper cabs run straight across the metal hood. Again, maybe that's the diff.

The top photo is before the hardware was added to the cabinet. Those doors do open for servicing the exhaust if needed. It did not feel right to us without the hardware. I am very happy that we had extra to install there.

But what makes the OP's situation different is the 3 doors, where a knob on either side of the middle door would kill the symmetry.

I'd skip the knobs, but if you are going to do them I'd skip the center panel.

Yes, my cabinet is different from the 3 doors. However, in my opinion, co-coordinating hardware is a viable option for the OP on the outside two doors.

I think with the frame on the bottom they look more like panels than doors and I don't think hardware will be missed. I would do the push latch that Casey suggested. It will look best imo.

do touch latches as Casey suggested and live with it for a while. I can always add hardware at a latter date if I don't like the look.
