Instead of a new thread, I was wondering if anyone has any new opinions or pics. We are purchasing the Wolf 36" AG with griddle and have chosen the VAH wall mount style - EPH18-236, but are waffling on the 24" and 27" depth. I order this week and I haven't been able to find this combination of range and hood in pic or person. It looks like the 24" would work, since the front of the range is 24.5 ". My husband is 6' tall and I'm concerned about the 27" depth being inconvenient for him. Any help is apppreciated.

Either one is going to be good. Some folks here will have a preference for Wolf over anything Thermador and some will have a preference for having a grill and griddle. Are you located where having an indoor grill will be an advantage? Would you use it or grill outdoors? Are the things you would use a second oven for also things that will do well in a convection micro (smaller size as well as the type of cooking)? The convection micro may not be any larger than the second oven on a 48" range. When I was looking at appliances and planning, a lot of folks were talking about 48" ranges and how much they used the smaller oven and preferred using it so they didn't have to heat the larger one. Seems most of the most often used things could go in the smaller oven. They had me convinced, and I would have liked the look of a range, so I would have done a 48" if a range didn't place the ovens too low for me to work comfortably. In the end, I think you will need to consider your own cooking needs and see which one works best for you. Take a few pans to the store and see for yourself what fits in that smaller oven.

antss, Thx... I laid out the CT36 burner configuration and it appears there is a 12K BTU burner directly across from a 9.2k BTU burner so it shouldn't be too hard to even things out. Am still going to look into other drop in cooktops or even a slide in rangetop. We don't need a $3K cooktop/rangetop but I also know of all the thing sin this kitchen remodel a nice gas cooktop will make my spousal unit happy and I don't want her to settle too much on this part! I've been looking and came down to Caphalon (they have at least 2 different ones and you want the larger one for those burners -- available everywhere, I recently saw both sizes at Target while some stores have only one -- larger one is about $50) and a Lodge cast iron (sold at Walmart in the camping section or camping stores -- about $35-45). While I was trying to decide between those, DH pulled out the Dacor griddle we had on a cooktop 2 houses ago. We had tried it front to back and it wouldn't work, but we discovered we can put it across 2 burners side to side, so we are going to try that next time we need the griddle. If that doens't work well, we'll probably try the Calphalon or Lodge. I wish Wolf made one that woud fill 2 burners and store flat.
