Here is a link to my photo album
Comments (12)Kippy, I will try to get some more photos for you. Did you see the "roses recently discussed" thread? There is a photo there. Mine is very tall, like 8 ft high. I thought it was a typical HT. The buds are hot pink and slow to open with a nice fragrance. Blooms last quite awhile. It's more lavender than Love Song...Love Song finally has put out some decent blooms but the Huey rootstock just doesn't work for my garden. I will likely reorder on multiflora. Comments (26)I've decided that hormones are hopping......I've worked with a lot of women in my gainful employment history.......and when ya get a lot of women working together... it seems like they all get on the rag at the same time eventually because of being together for so long......so, there's bound to be some disputes...some red faces, etc....those hormones just boil I tell ya..........ya just gotta let it alone sometimes. And, if I've stepped on someone's toes by being so bluntful...ya just gotta let it go. It's not worth you getting mad, cause I'm not. It is what it is, and it's all good! It's not worth the extra wrinkles!...See MorePls volunteer: Missing FKB photo albums; Part I
Comments (80)I really don't know why I didn't think of this earlier... about storing all member photos on the FKB server. I guess I figured it out be outrageously expensive to host all the photos. But the cost of storage has gone down tremendously (an extra 20GB on picasaweb costs only $5 per year), and I am making small change from the ads on the FKB. So it's definitely do-able. I replied back to gellchom with a message similar to this. Please feel free to mention this when you send out your emails (although it's probably too late for most of you). Sample email: There are a couple of options for getting your photos back onto the FKB. Option#1: Upload your kitchen photos to one of the online photo management applications (photobucket, flickr, picasa, etc.). Remove password-protection from your kitchen album or members will not be able to view your photos. Email the link to me. (Many members choose this option because they like managing their own photos.) Option#2: Email all your kitchen photos directly to starpooh and she will upload them onto the FKB's photo album. Her email address is: starpooh@gmail.com. They will be put into a separate folder (similar to outwest's kitchen): http://picasaweb.google.com/starpooh. If, in the future, you decide to remove your photos from the FKB just send an email to starpooh and she will take care of it. (Some members are choosing this option because they don't want to worry about keeping track of their kitchen photos. They also do not need to worry about password-protecting their personal photos.)...See Moreneed photo album help -please--long
Comments (6)I would scan the pictures, put them on a CD and then have them printed at a photo place. Actually photos that age can be enhanced so that they turn out much better looking if you take the time at a photo kiosk to fix each photo. I can understand your Mom's feelings. My birthparents never did tell any of my nine half brothers and sisters that I exist. I was born a few years later than your brother and my birthmother felt really ashamed. My siblings still don't know I exist. I met my birthmother 18 years ago and have kept her secret even though I know a lot about my half siblings and could find and tell them so easily. If I could make one suggestion to you it would be to think of your brother as a friend, not a brother. Not growing up with him, you really don't have a true sibling connection. Take your reunion slow and easy as reunions can be emotional roller-coasters. The best ones are done carefully and slowly. Wishing you a wonderful close friendship with him. Your brother will treasure those photos. He probably would enjoy any family stories that you have and also a copy of things such as a copy of your mother's writing. Was he searching or is this all very new to him?...See Moreasleep_in_the_garden
