"Eucharis grandiflora"? Here is a link that might be useful: Amazon Lily

There is some way to access the Kew gardens monocot database. Alas, I don't know it but someone here probably does. Failing that, Jay's site is probably your best bet. With all the renaming and new discoveries, nothing will ever be truly complete of course. Here is a link that might be useful: Jay's site

What your describing sounds like Parrots Feather, Anacharis/elodea, Cabomba or hornwort. They are all invasive.

Yes, R sanguineum. Flowering Currant - for future reference it is useful to see more of the plant rather than just a close up of the flowers. Unless you recognise it immediately, the lack of scale, lack of twigs and no indication of the fact it grew in a drooping cluster could put you right off the scent. Talking of which - have a good sniff. I think you'll find it reminiscent of cat pee. If you want more they are very easy to grow from cuttings. Just shove some twigs in the ground and most will root. BTW, yes - it is always very helpful to know where the plant was growing. This post was edited by floral_uk on Fri, Feb 6, 15 at 13:13
