Pull size on panel dishwasher and trash pullout 12 or 7"

I have a large double farm sink that will be flanked on the left by a paneled dishwasher and on the right by a matching paneled trash pullout(either 21 or 24 wide). The pull I chose (omnia 9030) comes in either 12 or 7" lengths and I will be using the 18" on the fridge. All other hardware will be 3" half moon cup pulls

Any recommendations on 7 vs 12? I was set on 7 then read about people liking a larger one to hang towels on

Do you have or expect to have pets that would rub against it? I do and I would go with the smaller matching handle because I only hang towels above counter level....

I thought the whole purpose of integrating the DW with a panel and hiding the trash behind a pullout panel was to make everything match so I am not sure why you would not put the same pulls on everything.

I'm a towel hanger... I'd go with 12" probably depending on the look of the pulls.

Because a center pull/knob is pretty functional a drawer front over a panel or more drawer fronts is an option which then uses the pull/knob matching the other drawers. The magnetic catch is easy to open with an adjustable counter spring so the choice can be as functional as your drawers. But get one of each(returnable) and determine in place.

Show us a pic if you can! babs711, don't you just love getting ideas from GW? ;) I love this site! remodelfla, very good point! :) linelle, I've heard mixed reviews about pulls like that. Some have said that it does get in the way, especially when you have to get into the cabinet underneath. And that people don't like leaning up against the towel/bar. Especially if the towel is damp, then someone unknowingly leans up against it while using the sink, then gets dampness on their clothes. But then others have said it doesn't bother them at all! Do a search on it. I read a thread recently, but I can't remember if I did a search on it & found an old thread or if it was a recently posted thread.

we're planning this same set-up. I chose the blanco diamond super single because I wanted a single bowl sink with the drain off to the right side. We will also have a disposal and a hot water tap on the right. We planned it this way so we could free up the left side space for a garbage bin under the sink. We are planning for a rev-a-shelf double 35qt system which should fit perfectly. I'm waiting till our granite and sink are in before we do that though. On the other door I'm putting the rev-a-shelf sink base storage unit (holds dish soap, sponges..etc). My sinkbase is going to be jam-packed with stuff and it will hopefully make life easier. The left is mounted on the side panel and the right is mounted on a special piece that IKEA sold for this application. Don't know if they still sell it, but I'm sure it could be reproduced. The center piece is basically a 1 1/2" piece of MDF that extends the depth of the cab and is secured at the back and front to the bottom of the cab. It functions as a short cab wall and I have a drawer rail mounted on both sides. In your case you could position in where you need to achieve your right wall. I hope I'm explaining this clearly enough, but hope this pic helps. I can take more pix tomorrow if that will help you. IKEA under sink pullouts

Love being able to hang towels on handles, even if only on my way to bed at night so towels can dry overnight.

We have 12" pulls on both, in addition to the wide, narrow over-fridge cabinet (our trash cab is opened via a foot pedal, so the pull is pretty much just for show). We could have used 8" pulls, which is the size we used on all our other cabs and drawers (with the exception of one 5" pull, on a 12" wide drawer), but opted to use the larger one.

I've seen smaller pulls, and even knobs used on DW's, etc., so it's really a personal preference sort of thing.

I have a 12" on my DW and 6" on my two trash pullouts as well as my spice pullout. Only started recently hanging a towel on one of the trash pullouts located next to our beverage fridge, more with the hope that guests would wipe up a spill. Didn't really happen, but DH now likes having it there for everyday.
