Kitchen island lighting - is this too small?

cross post from kitchen forum -

We have a small island (about 3' by 5') that is located very close to our dining table. We can install one pendant type fixture over each - wiring is finished and we're not changing it. These two pendants need to compliment each other given the open kitchen/dining. There are 4" LED cans around the perimeter of the dining table and in the kitchen area, so these fixtures are not the only sources of light.

Would one 12" globe light with clear shade be sufficiently sized for the 3'x5' island, or will it look too small? I'm looking at the Schoolhouse Electric Luna 12" with clear shade.

We'll do a chandelier type fixture over the table to compliment what we choose for the island.

Here is a link that might be useful: Luna 12
