Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. The only birthday wish I have left (besides more rain) is to hope that I get to see you all again as frequently and as soon as may be. Rosefolly

Greetings, Dances. Hope you have a really fine, memorable birthday. Thanks for giving me a fine memory of meeting KT folks face to face. If I remember correctly, when several who had been expected cancelled, there was some discussion of cancelling the party, but some of us, including me, suggested that we go ahead with it - that small crowds are fun. When was it? Back in 2005, I think. I still have your party favour. ole joyfuelled

Thank you everybody!

The day started off pretty suck-ish, but then we had a nice dinner out with family and it turned out okay. We went to a small local Chinese restaurant, and they did very well with our large group of 20 people.

There isn't anything better than a pot of oolong tea and wonton soup on a rainy dreary day!

Hi, Dances, I'm glad you had a pleasant birthday, in spite of the not-so-good beginning.

I always enjoyed your comments which were often humorous and always interesting, and sometimes included something about your DH and your DD. Come back more often.

Pleased to hear that you had a fine evening celebration, Dances.

May you have a fine year ahead, as well.

Your gathering was my first ... and glad that, despite several cancellations, you decided to go ahead with it, anyway. I saw the little heart-shaped memento that you gave us on my shelf, a couple of months ago.

I wasn't sure of the year ... but when I checked found that it was dated in 2005 ... can hardly believe that our gathering was almost 10 years ago.

Thanks for a very enjoyable day - so enjoyable that I didn't contact my Windsor relatives while there.
