A dog a friend was fostering, wearing his "Adopt Me" blanket.
Just as I took the picture the dog yawned, which make him look like snarling, bitey, mean dog. I decided not to post the picture to help get him placed, because I don't think it would've helped. :-)

The neighbor dogs on the stairs catching some warm rays (and zzzs) from the sun coming through the door glass. Have posted this before, but it is one of my favorite dog pictures.

Party, it's always interesting to me to see how snow piles up.

And my new friend - a squirrel without a tail

Murraysmom, your squirrel reminds me of the squirrel that frequented our birdfeeders several years ago. He got his tail caught under the wire hook from which one of the feeders hung. He was really stuck. When DH tried to free him, the squirrel was so panicked that in his effort to escape, he ripped off about 3/4 his tail. "Stumpy" still came to the feeders for some time after that.

I do wonder what happened to his tail. I wonder if they are made for a "quick release" in case a predator grabs them?

I do not think that squirrels have a "quick release" tail. However, several lizards do have a 'snap off' tail, and they have the capacity to regenerate the separable part.
