Bejay I can understand your reluctance to install things but there are precautions you can take to protect yourself. One is coming to places like this forum. Remember if I deliberately gave you false information others would immediately jump in and tell you not to take any notice of my suggestion. This is a huge built in safety factor for anyone who frequents these types of forums. Second. Download from reputable sites. Of course you do not know all of them but filehippo.com - download.com - pcworld.com - tucows.com are a few to start your list of safe sites to visit. Others will add more I suspect. Third. Google your choice and see what comments are out there. Look for the first 4 or 5 pages to see if they all heavily promote the program. If so probably best to stay away because those places get paid for each download and have little interest in whether the program is good, bad or indifferent. Look instead for reviews. Fourth. Learn how to create a Restore point. Then before any install create that Restore point so that if you are not happy with your new program you can simply restore to the point prior to the install.

AR can be an absolute monster to remove. A free application called REVO is regularly recommended here for uninstalling. I would use it in the Advanced Mode. It first creates a restore point, uses the target application's uninstaller, and then searches the drive and registry for leftovers. With AR don't be surprised if there are many. You will have an option as to whether or not to delete the findings. There is no backup so the choice will be yours and lasting. Personally I have never had a regret with anything I have removed which has been identified by REVO, nor do I recall any postings either. DA

I dont have it installed so I cant look to see where it starts from at boot but it would be in the registry under one of the Run keys, or it might be in all users or maybe user start up folder which maybe have it listing under Start/All Programs/StartUp. That link in your graphic is on your start menu & is just that, a link, to lauch the program manually - Acrobat runs in the background since the past few versions because so many people had complained it takes too long to start. As you can imagine, that large of a program doesnt just pop to attention when needed if they don't partially load it at boot.

I don't use AR as it is to0 embedded so I am going from a foggy memory. File>Print>On the appearing window is an area named Print Range. There are several options, one of which is Pages with an empty line. Select that option by placing a dot in the circle before the entry. In the empty line place the pages you desire. Examples: Just page 4, in the line place 4-4 For page 5, 9 and 12, in the line place 5,9,12 For pages 20 through 22, in the line place 20-22 For pages 8, 10, and 15-19, in the line place 8,10,15-19 I don't remember if you have to apply, but I am sure you have to OK out.
