Keeps crashing on my iPad. I go to CL. Pages opens fine. I select "free" selection. Pages opens with list and than tries to view in "image" and than crashes. I am not aware of any presets or user preferences such as viewing modes. Isn't the default mode "list"? I can sometimes tap "list" as I open the page and it sometimes will not crash. I can go into any other selection, like electronics or general and it opens in list mode. Not image. What's up?

My gut reaction is that there's some bit of script on CL that Safari doesn't like. It never hurts to reboot the device and clear the cache. You could also try shutting off Java Script (Settings > Safari > Advanced). Do you have another browser on your iPad that you could try? You might consider Chrome or Dolphin.

turning off script seems to work. i can select the item and look at the image. 2-3 months ago, i never used the thumbnail selection. i always used the list mode. or default. now that i want to use it, it does not work. thats life i guess

This goes under "common sense", but be careful when dealing with someone from Craigslist (or anywhere for that matter). I recently responded to an ad asking for free koi because I have many to give away also. This guy even had a picture of his pond in the ad. When I emailed to say the pond redo was delayed a week, he responded with abusive emails, accusing me of setting him up, cursing, etc. It was really freaky! I'm just glad I had given him my address yet. Good luck.

Great buy! I haven't looked on our CL for a while. It usually is disappointing. Rather, a nearby city that's approaching gentrification (getting there, but frankly may not quite reach it) has a few thrift stores with the MOST amazing furniture from old homes where families have lived for generations, it seems, and the youngest have moved and gotten rid of family antiques. The stores are in low-income areas (perceived as unsafe) but I love going in an browsing around. I don't have need for anything just yet, but items have been on my radar.

@1929Spanish You could drive up and get them, only about 800 miles round trip. If your car gets at least 25 mpg, you would only spend about $100 in gas (and 13 hours of drive time). Of course, finding open bathrooms along the way might prove problematic.

Why does it open in images as a default now though? did i mention the it is an ipad 1 with the original OS? i use my desktop to view cl stuff and the default is list. not that there is a user selectable default
