Which would you choose - Liebherr or Bosch?
Comments (15)I am considering the CS1200. I called someone that installs them. His main negative was that the fridge may have a tendency to tip forward because it's very light weight. It also tends to move when opening and closing the door. In other words, it's a challenge to keep it held in one place. Is this something any of the owners have experienced? He said sometimes there's a bracket to hold them in place, but that would mean the fridge has to be placed close to the back wall. Placing it close to the back wall may be not work for me because the cut out for the fridge in my house is actually quite wide and deep. But I like small things...I think the stuff that's being sold these days is too big....See MoreBosch front loader has died..Pls recommend which Miele to get?
Comments (12)well poo. posted an update and just now checked in and see i never actually did post it. So went to store today and did find out about warranty. 1 year, which will be extended to 2 if i have Miele install (as opposed to store install). I saw three machines: W3033 ($1999)- the smallest capacity, and this machine looked most like my dead Bosch (compact, can be stacked) W4802 ($1699) -this one looked huge compared to the previous one, but i still like the way it looks W4842 ($1899)- two hundred $ more, for the few extra options and display. I really like this one. Now i have to figure out what i want? My Bosch dryer is a condensation one. If i want to stick with that, i will have to go with the $1999 Miele, and stack the Condenser Miele dryer on top of that. If i want to go vented dryer, will have to move things drastically around in laundry room, blocking the side door (we wont be able to use anymore), to allow the vent to go outside. Which may totally be worth it, i am confused and dont know which Miele I should want....See MoreDWs: Miele, Bosch, Kenmore or KitchenAid. Which one? help! xpost
Comments (43)I've had a Miele for 10 years - no problems other than it etches my glassware which I did a lot of research on when it happened right from the start and there was no solution other than using the China and Crystal cycle any time I had any glassware in it. I also seem to be the only person who has had that problem. All in all though since I can only use one cycle and would never put any good glassware in it, it was far overpriced for the features I use. I have a rather basic 12 year old Bosch at another house and really like it - works great, no problems. Both are very quiet which I love. I recently moved out of the MIele house and will need to replace my 15 year old dishwasher there that sounds like a jet engine. I will get a Bosch....See MoreWhich brand of LVT would you buy & which would you stay away from?
Comments (14)As I said in my original post, our Mannington Adura is glue-down. The flooring company we used refuses to do a click-lock on LVP installs. Period. If a customer insists upon click-lock they will sell them the flooring materials but will not do the install. They said they have had too many complaints with click lock installs and it just was not worth the trouble for them. If you read install instructions for almost any flooring, having a level floor is critical. All of the mfgs specify their tolerances for uneven subflooring and they're mostly all very tight (narrow) ranges. I think a lot of DIYers forget or don't pay much attention to that. We had to, our flooring joists are wildly uneven and no free-floating floor would have worked....See Moredmeah
