The rose you rescued looks suspiciously like 'Dr Huey' to me. If so, the rose that was originally planted was undoubtedly a different variety that was grafted onto 'Dr Huey' rootstock. If that's the case, the original rose failed to survive the neglect & the rootstock took over. If the rose is free of thorns (or has very few), and if it is producing long cains (like a climber -- which, from the photo, appears to be the case), then you can be fairly certain that your 'Annie' is indeed 'Dr Huey'. Your pitcher looks like porcelain to me.....Beech worked in earthenware....and the later patterns would have had the british registry mark. What puzzles me is the fact that the decoration seems to be showing wear....and transferwear is under glaze and doesn't wear....but the pattern witgh the birds isn't hand painted. It looks like the type of thing where gold decorations were applied by hand...but those decorations are black...????

I'm a little curious to know how your plant #4 is doing, M_Medina, as my friend is having similar problems with his fuzzy plant (leaves getting yellow and falling)... What did you repot your plant in? Is it better now? I would have liked to help with you questions regarding the roots, but I am too new to plants for that; I'd say they look okay although they do seem short... and too compact? Actually, it looks like a cutting that is growing roots... but someone else might know better!
