Spring Swap
Comments (30)Thanks for that, Gloria! When you get a chance go over to Zach's Email Tree thread and post there that you want to participate! PMing each other has turned into a zoo here since houzz has taken over, so we're trying to get a mailing list going for RMG so we can all still easily communicate with each other if/when we need to. What we're trying to do is explained more on that thread. I'm going to be sending addresses I have to Zach when people post that they want to "join the tree!" And, regarding the swap, when you get around to starting the new thread, I'll make time to post there what's up with the PMing situation, and, hopefully we'll be able to get everyone who wants to come to the swap to include themselves in the list to help make it easy for you to get the addresses! It could get a little bit difficult this time, but we'll get it figured out! Skybird...See More2015 Raleigh Spring Swap
Comments (29)Hello everybody! I was wondering if you guys still had the plant swap going up there in Raleigh? I am glad it is. I actually attended one about 12 years ago and really enjoyed it!! So much so, that I came back to Charleston, SC and started one myself. I saw somebody mentioned that they kind of adopted a FB page. I searched for it and could not find it. The reason for my post is, it is very easy to start a FB page for a swap. I use one. You can see it here: North Charleston Plant Swap Hopefully maybe some of you folks can come down to our Fall swap. I hope to make it back up there for one of yours someday. Take Care and Happy Growing! Darren...See MoreCharlotte SPRING Plant Swap 2015
Comments (0)Charlotte Spring Plant Swap 2015 SUNDAY, April 19, 2pm, rain or shine! Marion Diehl Park 2219 Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 There is only one shelter. The park is connected to Queens University Sports Complex, and you can turn into the park at the Queen's entrance, or the Marion Diehl entrance. For first time swappers - we don't care if you have weeds or high dollar orchids. If you have plants to give away and want them to go to good homes, this is the place to be. We trade anything and everything. If you don't have much, don't worry - we don't have rules about that either. Hopefully everyone will go home with more than they brought! Other gardening stuff is also welcome- pots, books, bulbs, cuttings, magazines, potting soil, tools, statues, etc. Please label your plants. Something simple like "yellow daylilies" or "cactus houseplant" or "shade ground cover". This will make it easier to know where to plant the new plants we take home. How it works: You show up early and place your plants in with all the other plants. You find a spot away from the shelter where you can stash the plants you grab during the swap. I will welcome everyone to the swap and ring a bell. You get to grab ONE plant and take it to your stash zone. We do this two or three times before we change it to TWO plants per ring and then THREE plants and finally we have a free-for-all where the leftovers can be claimed by anyone. The Plant Swap is free. If you feel inclined, you can leave a small donation toward the renting of the shelter. Questions: elaine.dickson@gmail.com...See More2015 Spring Swap FOOD/POTLUCK
Comments (17)Thank you everyone for the delicious food that you brought! I wonder what brand were the stuffed grape leaves that were served? They were so good I'd like to get some more! Does anyone want any of the recipes? I really liked one dish that I would like to have the recipe, but I can't really remember what was in it (I'm embarrassed to say) - It was a salad - I believe it was purple and kind of sweet. It was located at the end of the table farthest from the kitchen....See Morebrowneyedsusan_gw
