Yes, it's been posted at several places that Harris will again be offering Moreton Hybrid and I couldn't be happier. I think that the three Harris bred varieties Moreton Hybrid, Supersonic F1 and Jet Star F1 are some of the best hybrids around re taste, and were some of the earliest bred as well. I would love to see them bring back StarPak F1 as well. Reading between the lines of what was written it sounds like Rutgers helped by making their Israeli source available to Harris for seed production. As I'm sure you know Rutgers reintroduced Ramapo F1 recently and their seed production was done in Israel. I do wish that Rutgers would also allow Harris and TGS to sell seeds of Ramapo F1 b'c they were two of the last ones that sold it. But Rutgers is making money off the sale of Ramapo F1 as sold exclusively by them, so far. And I did dehybridize Ramapo F1 and it worked out very well as many folks who have grown it have attested to. Carolyn, who still has a half pack of Moreton F1 that she was thinking of trying to dehybridize and now doesn't have to. ( smile) And note that this is the second time that Moreton F1 has disapperaed, one time they said they lost one parent, so I'm looking at it as the "Lazarus" variety. LOL

Harry sends everyone a big sloppy slurpy kiss (his favorite kind) and Sam is jumping around with glee. Trust me, you do not want to kiss Sam! LOL He's a handshake sorta dude. LOL RuthieG TX. It really doesn't take long to train them. It only takes two-three hours a day, 365 days each year, for ever! Harry's nearly 8; Sam is nearly 2, and they are contantly training. They "hunt" at least three times a week. Wes doesn't always carry a gun, and he doesn't often "shoot," but they are still hunting, and training to hunt, and training in every other skill, every day. We "play" with them constantly, but even the games are training. Right now Harry is training me to fetch him a Milk Bone when he sits up and howls.

Tonia, I'm not sure what feedback or help you are wanting. You mentioned that you believed you may have been overwatering, and I am in complete agreement with you. That does sound highly likely! But, you say that you are addressing that problem. If I were you, I would use a finger pushed fairly deeply down into the soil to test for moisture, until you get a better feeling for how quickly your potting medium is drying out. Remember that the top can dry out quickly, while the medium might be saturated at the bottom of the pot. You mentioned having a possible pest problem, but it sounds like maybe that's no longer a problem. Your choice of potting medium may not be the best, but it's hard to know much about that without at least some ratios. In general, I don't see why you would be adding peat moss to the mix (and suggest that you probably shouldn't be).
