Thanks. Flew off healthy and strong. This hatching confirmed my thought that the rue had some chemical sprayed on it before I bought it, which resulted in the deformity of 2 butterflies. Everything raised on orange leave was healthy. K PS...I never knew butterflies were hairy!

Love your backsplash. Did I miss what material it is? Did you say what stone/tile it is? You kitchen looks very similar to my kitchen before last - same color cab, black granite. Backsplash we used 4 diff limestones that the tile guy cut into 3x6 bricks. Still looking for a picture! I loved the look. Current kitchen just didn't allow for so much darker colors :(

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful birthday wishes!!! Eccentric, I've been wondering where you've been! I was going to post a Where is eccentric post. Today was a GREAT day. I got some awesome presents from hubby. Some were kitchen-related (naturally!) and also a beautiful multi-chained necklace. And some money which we'll use to get me some jeans and pants. God I hate clothes shopping but it's time to do it. We spent the day in the town where Luckygardnr lives. It's an arty-fartsy tourist town, and we had a great time. Had beef-barley soup and fish and chips for lunch and we're still full. Gave Lucky a call and she and her DH were home so we went around for a nice visit. All in all a fantastic day. Happy Belated Birthday - sorry I missed it, but I was out doing gardening instead of going on line. Evidently today is Cesar Chavez Day in California, even though his birthday isn't until Thursday, March 31. Anyway, some of the schools are closed, and I think the post office is also. I think it's nice that your birthday came on Easter - that makes it extra special. My birthday often falls on Mardi Gras, which is very festive, but then it also often falls on Ash Wednesday, which is the opposite. Does yours ever fall on Good Friday? I like the blue flowers on your cake! Sounds like you had a good dinner also.
