Pop-up making me crazy

That 3 Musketeers Bar popup is making me crazy!! I have a popup blocker but it doesn't seem to catch this one for some reason. I can't move around the RP thread without this thing popping up every time I make a move. Aaaargh!

Ditto, Sarah. Whats strange is that is seems to be overriding my usual walls and blockers. I'll grant you, seeing mint dark chocolate is pleasing to the eye, but I don't need my appetite stimulated and all its doing is making me mad.

Laminate Wood Floors are making me CRAZY, any suggestions???

@HU-892358370 did you use straight rubbing alcohol (70% or higher?) and did you dilute it at all? I just moved into a new apartment and the wood laminate floors throughout are sticky, no matter how much I clean! It is gross. I was about to try vinegar and water but saw your post about alcohol. I have the type of flat mop with the removable/washable microfiber heads or "socks" so I think this would be fairly easy for me to try. Just want to avoid damaging floors in a rental, obviously. I am hoping it is mainly soap residue, but I can see drip spots in one area that are super glossy and won't wash up. Wondering if whomever cleaned the apartment before I moved in used a polish or wax inappropriate for laminate floors compounding the problem. Ugh.

oldhousegal, I commend you. I'd love to be living that way - as they say "every journey begins with a single step". I found a website created by a grad student from Singapore who is studying "food perceptions" of all things. This entire website is dedicated to unraveling the "great pine nut mystery" (don't you love the internet!). Here is a picture of pine nuts. "S" is apparently what you want. "A" is what you don't want. Similar in size.. posting another pic below which is a close up of "A". close up on PNS (pine nut syndrome) inducing pine nut Funny... Target house brand of pine nuts has only had one reported case of PNS but Trader Joe's has had 69 cases.... maybe I'm not ready to give up on Target yet (maybe I am still being naive to believe everything I read on the internet.... looks pretty credible to me though - will link the website below). Glad you were able to recreate your space. One thought on that "dead" overhead cabinet: If you drilled a 6" hole in the front of the cabinet below the rod -- halfway between the rod and the bottom of the cabinet -- that could be a great space to store used grocery bags you are saving to recycle as trash bags. After I posted this, I browsed the site and the pop up did not occur once. Mmmm - maybe a thread about it was the magic trick?(or did I just jinx it)

It's driving me crazy, too. The only way I want to see chocolate is up close and personal in my hot, sticky little hand.

I don't know if this will help, but when this forum first became garden Web, there were those moving popups which drove everyone crazy, and someone posted the thing below. My DH did it and I haven't had an ad here since.

Windows XP: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K: C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 98: C:\WINDOWS
Open the file in Notepad. Cut the following from this post and paste it to the end of the file.
127.0.0.1 amch.questionmarket.com
127.0.0.1 a820.g.akamai.net
127.0.0.1 iv.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 i.ivillage.com
127.0.0.1 m.2mdn.net
127.0.0.1 tste.ivillage.com
127.0.0.1 img-cdn.mediaplex.com
127.0.0.1 ads.vmirror.com
127.0.0.1 cmhtml.ivillage.overture.com
127.0.0.1 ads.pointroll.com
Edit each entry so that there is a tab between the IP address 127.0.0.1 and the URLs. Save the file and you're finished. Close and re-open your browser and all the ads will be gone.

Further to astrokath's instructions:
Save the file as hosts
If you already have a "hosts" file, then add these entries to the end of that file. In windows98, you must reboot, since the hosts file is only read once on boot.
An alternative is to use the Firefox browser, which has a very good popup blocker.

Another vote for Firefox, as well as all the lovely little add-ons available for it (found here). Never see another ad--popups, banners, or any other.

I use Firefox also and it does a good job of blocking them. Best of all it remembers my passwords.
