If I were you I would get both Misty and Sharpblue. Between the 3 you shouldnt have a pollination problem. Most Southern High Bush bloom close enought to each other for pollination. If you can find Sunshine Blue I highly recommend that variety. Very easy to grow, short and compact with tasty fruit. Cool temps will cause some redding in the leafs. I get the same thing here durning spring. Green one day and reddish the next.

Zeffyrose - don't know if you're talking to poshmadison or me, but since I'm up, The Soul of the Rose was by John William Waterhouse - scroll down here - http://www.the-athenaeum.org/art/list.php?s=tu&m=a&aid=82 - for full scan, click on the title, then click on the thumbnail image. I am no expert, but love flowers in art and used to google for examples. The links I posted above are the best search engines I have found for this purpose. As for my screen name, over the years a monster silver maple across the property line has taken most of our sun, so I developed a love for primroses. Last year I obtained seed from The American Primrose Society - http://www.americanprimrosesociety.org/ - but although many other wintersown seeds germinated, these did not. Will try again next year. That said, for the time being, Primula sieboldii and P. japonica did wintersow successfully a few years ago and P. japonica is self-sowing beautifully in a spot due for construction when I can move it. I was very surprised that in hot, humid Maryland, that any primula would be thrilled to grow here - who knew? I am Bluespiral on another website, but couldn't transfer it here. ps - can't resist sharing Henri le Sidaner for roses and moonlight - A Pavilion in the Rose Garden, Gerberoy 1931 - http://www.the-athenaeum.org/art/full.php?ID=64923# - click on "Open Menu" for list of some of his other works. A view from the elevation of this painting in daylight is Terrace in Springtime 1904 - http://www.the-athenaeum.org/art/full.php?ID=41911 - In the middle distance is a winding wall you can barely see, and if my memory is working correctly, the light breaks in the dark continuity of the wall are climbing roses. In the gold haze of his palette for this painting, what wonderful food for the imagination, I think. poshmadison - Thank you for beginning such an irresistable thread and I hope you will forgive me for hijacking it.

You're not wrong chisue. King George VI did this. He decided he didn't want to be associated with Germany. The monarchy had been through so much then, and they were picking up the pieces (not the least of which was his brother King Edward VIII, abdicating and marrying his mistress), but mostly the war from which he was trying to distance himself. Or stated positively "Albert assumed the regnal name 'George VI' to emphasise continuity with his father and restore confidence in the monarchy". And so endeth the lesson. ;)

I'm a step-grandmother, and I agree, Kacee: If Diana were alive, no one would call Camilla the grandmother. I guess there are two ways to become a step-grandmother. In my case, my daughter is the stepmother. My children had a step-grandmother (my stepmother) who was never anything less than a wonderful Grandma to them. They loved her dearly. As for Diana, we're all entitled to our opinions. I'm not into saints at all, so I'm glad she wasn't one. I thought she was wonderful. And very classy. Diana married Charles the same month she turned 20 years old. I can't blame her for getting in over her head. It was probably every English girl's dream to marry a prince. I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't make the best relationship decisions when I was 19 either. ;-)
