I had never read anything by MacDonald. The Husband Guy brought his Carringtons of Helston home from the library. It was a nice read. I hope that more of his work is as enjoyable as I plan to look up some more of his things.
Does anyone know if he is still writing? I know he's getting on up in years. Are any of his books especially good?
I have never read anything by Malcolm Ross-Macdonald either but I should because I owe him something. What English accent I may have acquired I have from him. He was my English teacher in 1960-61 when he worked for the British Council in my hometown Umeå, Sweden. I took evening classes to improve my English. I have checked his homepage and realize that he was 29 at the time while I was 17. I thought he was quite old and have assumed that he was long dead, not roughly my age and still writing.
