wow you all have a great headstart on things. I have mostly seeded things I want to grow on all summer in the greenhouse (3 tomato plants every 2 weeks for the last 6 weeks....those 9 plants provide us with tomatoes from Early June to late October. I started sage, basils (4 types), parsly (2 types), thyme and will continue to do that every 2 weeks for the next month. I have the seedlings I want to use in my containers...Alyssum, pansies, marigolds, lobilia, dahlia, tuber begonias that sort of thing up and doing well. I started some perennials/bi-annuals....sweet Wm, painted daisies, Dianthus (pinks) Everything is still small but as I begin to transplant it expands quickly and I have to bring them all in overnight everynight still until the nights warm us a bit more. It's a bit of work right now but so worth it. I have to reread some of the things you all have started. It's interesting.

Hi everyone, hope you are having a stress-free thursday. I received my box today from vina and what a great box it is. sorry my grandbabe wasn't here when i opened it, because i can tell right now the things she will claim!!!!! the story i chose was "little chicks big day". in the story book the little chick watched a dragonfly zig zag through the sunshine and watched a butterfly sip from a morning glory. to that end, i received white morning glory seeds. i also received a mother chick and baby chick statute, who are the "stars of the show". a sweet little frog plant sitter (pond buddy) and a mini picnic basket filled with seeds. (i know my g-babe will covet this most adorable basket). and since no farm is complete without plants, i received: hens and chicks!!!! hollyhock carnival carousel mix purple coopers ice plant snow crocus mix columbine william guiness and blue mist shrub and last but not least, a bag of hershey kisses for strength!!!! VINA...GREAT BOX. i absolutely love everything about it. well put together, well wrapped and i love all the little notes thanks so much, i appreciate these plants for years to come and will enjoy reading the story to my granddaughter. what a great theme for swap, heidi. this was a lot of fun. beth.....i am waiting on one more thing. i had hoped it would have come today but since the mailman came and went, it did not. i will mail on time though and i will let you know when i return from the post office! thanks again maryanne

Hi Everyone - Happy Thanksgiving! Deb, glad it got to you before the holiday. Thought you'd like the gold - LOL! The little knife is handy for opening all these packages, but I reckon you've lost that one! ha! We'll probably talk to our families on the phone this evening, but DH worked night shift last night, so it's pretty quiet around here today. For breakfast I had a smoked salmon salad, snack: watermellon and almonds lunch: orange and 80 calories worth of ice cream, snack: more watermellon and almonds. It is only 4! I had eyed a Lean Cuisine for dinner, but writing this I just realized what a pig I have been today so I might just skip. 3. What did you have for dinner last night? watermellon and almonds 4. What is your favorite flower in your flower garden? a 14 foot high jasmine 5. Other than the main colors in your home now, what colors would you like to change to? I would really like to someday own a gray Neoclassical with a slick black front door. Maybe that is just a reflex because it is the complete opposite of the yellow country Victorian we are finishing building now. 6. Are you an online shopper or do you prefer to go to a store in person? Either. I *love* to shop, but I never buy much. Getting out and visiting shops is thrilling enough for me that I don't feel like I need to buy the proverbial t-shirt. 7. If you do shop online, what is your favorite website, other than Amazon? Is Craigslist shopping?? I have been looking out for several things and prefer to buy vintage or antiques. Antique stores (in real life) just thrill me to no end. 8. Do you paint your nails? I break my nails on the darn piano and I only paint my nails when they are long... so not very often. 9. What one thing this week are you looking forward to doing? It is a weird week here, so I am just hoping that everything runs smoothly. A win would be no more poisonous snakes this week. What type of car do you drive and the color? We just bought a new vehicle wild color. All our vehicles end up some crazy color. They can't make a color that is too wild for us! :O)
