The "crime" of faux flowers and wreaths is that they inevitably will get dusty and tired no matter how fastidious a housekeeper you are. And old, tired, dusty faux anything is just plain not attractive to anyone. It's a big reason these are out of favor. It's spring and art fairs will be starting soon. Go to them and look for some art for your walls! Visit local galleries. Unless one lives on the Upper East Side in NYC, most galleries have affordable art - it's not all the price of a major house addition. A now departed friend who as an antique dealer once gave me some very good advice; one need never apologize for an empty wall. Leave it empty until one finds what what truly wants and loves.

I had some driving and other spare time yesterday. I was enjoying the story very much (though I thought the music/sound effects were awful, especially the many too overbearing low frequency bass parts) and was looking forward to getting to episode 8, "Case Closed". Well, I did, only to learn that Case Closed meant something other than what I expected and the story continues. Now I'm sucked in to the dribble out of weekly episodes. Torture. DARN! I hope #10 is the end. Thanks for bringing this up, sleeperblues. It's a unique series and enjoyable. I don't follow the BBC's content much and I may not have otherwise heard about it.
