Hi Looks like mine messages had some writing errors, but i think you got still what i wrote. It took time because i had to watch the title what was in there to tell what was in it. Gonebananas hi You welcome. I have found the book you mentioned, but it cost more. Scottfsmith hi How much you learn information about peaches from this book depends how much you know about peaches. If you know a lot of peaches you probably don't learn so much new things by reading of peach book.

Limited range of your remote controls could be related to radio frequency interference that comes from something in your home or in the surrounding environment. Certain electrical devices can radiate interference; this could be almost anything that is plugged into an electrical outlet. Please keep in mind that the device can be brand new, or can be an item that has been in use for quite a while. Also, the item may continue to function properly as far as you are able to tell. The only problem with the item may be that it has started to broadcast the interference, with no other symptoms noted. Some devices are more likely to generate interference than others. This includes TV cable, cable amplifiers, surge protectors, fluorescent lights, battery charging devices (power tools, golf carts, etc.), anything that utilizes a timer (sprinkler systems, lights, alarm systems, etc.), and a myriad of others. If the problem seems sporadic, we can safely assume that the device responsible for the interference is only being operated during these times. Again, please keep in mind that the age of the device does not determine if it is capable of broadcasting unwanted interference. Any electrical device can be the source of the problem. To isolate potential sources of interference, turn the circuit breaker off to the garage and plug the garage door opener into an extension cord from another room. If the range improves, then the interference is coming from a device in the garage. If no improvement is seen follow the same procedure, this time turning off the circuit breakers to your home, with the exception of the garage and test the remote controls. If improvement is noted, turn the circuit breakers back on, one by one, until the range problem resurfaces. This will allow you to narrow down what room the problem device is in. You will have to go from there to isolate it further, by unplugging and re-plugging the items in that room. If you are unable to determine any source of interference, then the receiver logic board in the overhead unit will need to be replaced.

Thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions. If nothing else, it is good to know that this is pretty much a universal experience. It is not just me, thank goodness! I know that there are many, many wonderful novels in existence, some of which I have read, some of which simply didn't suit my individual tastes, and some of which I would love but have yet to discover (probably fewer of this last group, unfortunately). I am concerned here mostly about current and recent fiction. Thank goodness I have this forum to point out ones I might otherwise miss. Some old favorite writers have left us, and some others continue to write but have moved in directions that don't suit me. I'm quite sure that in time new writers will appear to take their places. It's just the wait that frustrates me. Meanwhile I'm reading books about sewing techniques and planting trees. Useful and informative they may be, but somehow I find them a bit weak in plot and character development. Rosefolly

I have just been lent as a 30 year loan my neighbours Christmas present from his Massachusetts S-in-L. It is The Encyclopedia of New England. A huge volume that could be used to underpin the foundations of our house. I weighed it on my new all-knowing full of electronic wizardry Xmas present scales and it claimed the book was 6ft 1 inch, whereas my old, trusty scales recorded 7½ pounds. This tome tells me more than I need to know about everything/body in NE even unto the 10th generation in teeny-tweeny print.
