My addition:

Abbey Road - The Story of the World's Most Famous Recording Studio - Brian Southall

I apologise for the lower case heading - I have tried numerous times but cannot make it uppercase.

Ok ..... you asked for it. Page 56, fifth sentence (in this case it's the fourth complete sentence but it's the last one on the page) says: Declaration issuance -- Where, on application in prescribed form to the Commissioner by the holder of a license granted under section 39 in respect of a medicine to which this section applies and after providing the patentee to which the license relates with a reasonable opportunity to be heard, the Commissioner finds that the patentee is not, after the seven years referred to in paragraph (3)(a) and at the time the application is being considered, making the medicine in Canada for the purposes of completely or substantially supplying the Canadian market for that medicine, the Commissioner shall forthwith, by order, declare that, effective on the coming into force of the order, any holder of a license granted under section 39 to make that medicine may under that license make that medicine. From: Patent Legislation and Commentary by Roger T. Hughes 2005 Edition (it's section 39.16(4) of the pre-1989 Patent Act) Top THAT for dryness! :-)

And tomorrow is the feast of St. Blaise. I think you have to be an old Catholic type to remember him. I'll bet he was one of those, like Christopher they got rid of. At the very least I bet they don't bless throats any more! St. Blaise also known as Biagio; Blase; Blasius Memorial 3 February Profile Physician. Bishop of Sebaste, Armenia. Lived in a cave on Mount Argeus. Healer of men and animals; according to legend, sick animals would come to him on their own for help, but would never disturb him at prayer. Agricola, governor of Cappadocia, came to Sebaste to persecute Christians. His huntsmen went into the forests of Argeus to find wild animals for the arena games, and found many waiting outside Blaise's cave. Discovered in prayer, Blaise was arrested, and Agricola tried to get him to recant his faith. While in prison, Blaise ministered to and healed fellow prisoners, including saving a child who was choking on a fish bone; this led to the blessing of throats on Blaise's feast day. Thrown into a lake to drown, Blaise stood on the surface and invited his persecutors to walk out and prove the power of their gods; they drowned. When he returned to land, he was martyred by being beaten, his flesh torn with wool combs (which led to his association with and patronage of those involved in the wool trade), and then beheading. Blaise has been extremely popular for centuries in both the Eastern and Western Churches. In 1222 the Council of Oxford prohibited servile labour in England on his feast.

After seeing this game in action for years, I have meant to ask (but never got around to it until now!) what is the everlasting appeal of it? At other book sites I have frequented (and still frequent) there are usually equally long-running versions. I have participated occasionally; but since it seems an endless roundelay to me, I guess I don't get the point. Does anyone go back and read through the old threads? I'm hesitant to post something that somebody else probably thought of a couple of hundred posts back. Is the quickness on the draw the thing? Is it the cleverness of the association? The obscurity? The cutting edge? I don't follow closely enough, but it seems there's a core group of participants and a lot of hit-and-runners -- folks who don't post very often, or at all, in other threads. Is there satisfaction in a daily dose of -- and posting of a nugget to -- 'the game' as there is in, say, reading one's horoscope and solving the daily 'jumble'? Maybe there's not much time for participation in anything else. I'm slow, I know, but I'm still curious. :-)
