Foodie Books?

I've read a few food related books, but I'd like to find more. What "foodie" books are your favorites?

It can be non-fiction or fiction as long as it's good writing about food. I'm not really looking for recipe books; however, if you know a recipe book that contains a lot of entertaining writing (something you'd want to read in bed at night) along with the recipes let me know.

Some of the "foodie" books I've read: (1) John Lanchester's "Debt to Pleasure" which contained a lot of discussion on food in the story --this novel was entertaining, but I tired of the unreliable narrator, (2) parts of MFK Fisher's "Art of Eating" that I have read I liked the writing quite a bit, and (3)I enjoyed Ruth Reichel's memoir, "Tender to the Bone". Recently I bought "American Food Writing" from the Library of America. The collection looks promising, but I haven't had a chance to read it, yet.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
