What a great week. There will always new inventions, new ways of doing something and as always, there will be something good and at the same time something bad. I don't think that the first computer gurus saw cellphones and texting ahead and the traffic death caused by them.

To those who don't do X because of global warming: That's great. However you need to realize there is nothing YOU can do that doesn't involve polluting in some way. If you use electricity you are polluting. If you produce waste, you are polluting. If you drive a car, your polluting. If you buy gas, you are polluting by supporting petroleum companies. If you buy groceries from the store, you are contributing to pollution via product transportation. If you exhale you are polluting. Lastly my favorite, if you are using more than one square of toilet paper per sitting, you are murdering vasts amounts of trees. Now I'm all for conserving and taking care of the Earth. I love nature (obviously otherwise I wouldn't be here at this forum). The point is, unless your living as a nomad in a forest somewhere you really aren't going to help the pollution problem. What needs to be done is pressuring our governments to invest in and use renewable and waste free resources. Until then bickering about using a gas lawn mower to mulch leaves does nothing. Telling people to use one square of toilet paper does nothing, the trees are already chopped and refined into toilet paper in the shelves of grocery stores. None of this stuff will change until fossil fuels and non-renewable resources are banned and discontinued.

Dishcloths here as well and "changed out" at least once a day (we're not home during the day so the only times they get used are mornings & evenings). For "stuck on" things, I soak the pan/dish and then, if needed, I use a nylon scrubber. I used to put the scrubbers in the DW until I read somewhere about spreading the bacteria around in the DW. The scrubbers don't leave the sink and anything they're used on goes right into the DW, so I'm counting on the hot water + detergent and "sani-rinse" to get my pans/dishes clean. If you look closely in the sink in the picture below you'll see a SS holder suction cupped to the side of the sink. We have one in each sink and it holds the scrubbers. The dishcloth is draped on the divider b/w the two bowls of my double-bowl main sink. BTW...the scrubber in the prep sink is for veggies and the one in the main sink for dishes. Dishcloth for everything else...even wiping down counters. Once or twice week or if company comes I use a microfiber cloth and clean the counter w/a stone cleaner.

This is just my opinion. I personally like a lot of colour so I’d probably change the duvet colour for some lush tropical print but I get the idea behind the white so it’s fine. Laundry hamper: sorry, I think it’s hideous and really jars with what you’re trying to achieve. Toss it and replace it with baskets type hampers like these or similar. I quite like the bar cart and think it works well with your tropical/Indian theme. Marble does not and neither do those thin pointy legs on the tables you like. Something like the bar cart in style but smaller would work. At the same time I’d move the lamp stand to the corner between the bar stand and the side wall. It’s a cool lamp but where it is gives the impression of a vulture overhanging the bed. For bedside lamps something with a shade similar to the main lamp would look “together”. The round mirror is the wrong size/shape for over the bed. If you want something over the bed (why a mirror?) I’d go for a long rectangular print you like, or move the print you already have there and put the mirror between the two doors where the print currently is. Or you could put your full length mirror there. I’m not sold on the idea of having all the artwork at the same height but matching frames would pull it all together. I think the frame you have on the Daybreak print works well so I’d go with that. You could change the chair for something similar in a tan/gold I think. Plant stands are a good idea but the ones you have chosen don’t work with your theme IMO. Something more like these in a lighter wood is more tropical/Indian I think. Put the plants in brass pots like this. I think the main issue I have with the things you have chosen is that they are more Swedish minimalist than tropical which is a bit more lush. You need to decide which it is that you really want.
