Interesting question! We need to find someone with a copy of the Combined Rose List to check on the "official" spelling for you. As far as the liquor itself is concerned, he general rule is that whiskies from Scotland and Canada are spelled "whisky," while those from Ireland are spelled "whiskey." Whiskies from the United States generally carry the "e" also, but not always. Since the cocktail known as a Whisky Mac uses Scotch, it probably SHOULD be spelled without the "e." Then again, the rose is German (bred by Tantau), so the original name might be completely different!

You are not going to find those fabrics for sale in any stores. Pottery Barn will have had a staff designer create the patterns, and then commissioned the fabric to be printed just for them. That's how it almost always goes with ready-made things like that. Companies want their products to be unique. In some parts of the world (Los Angeles, occasionally but not often NYC), there are "remnant" stores that get their hands on the ends of the bolts from companies like that, but they're sold in the stores only. And they're not every company (bcs the sheets are made across the ocean, usually).

Are you able to return them if you don't like them? I think Ballard is just mail order, right? FWIW, we bought the PB curtain rods. Felt like we paid too much but they are very sturdy and look nice (better than the cheaper ones sold at BB&B, for example).
