These products are safe for all vegetable crops and are used extensively by commercial vegetable growers. That is why they are only available in such large quantities. However, that was not my question. My question was whether or not anyone here has used them and whether they found them to be effective. The bacterial foliar diseases are difficult to treat/control from all I have read so these products may not be worth the expense. I thought I would try them since it would cost me more to replant my crown of thorns.

Could insects carry herbicides? Just wondering. I would cut off the damaged parts and see if you get any recovery before destroying the plant. I have this every so often (I grow over fifty plants each year) and while the production wanes sometimes, other times the plant comes back stronger.

Thanks for the advice. This is rather a late update but I just wanted to say that soon after I posted this, I potted the tomato in a large container and kept it outside on my apt balcony. The white spots quickly went away on their own. I guess it just needed sunshine and better air circulation!

Is that what the Osmocote label recommends for even container plants? Normally they require more frequent feeding than that but Osmocote isn't a commonly used fertilizer for tomato plants and it is clear from their color - assuming the photos are accurate - that it isn't providing them with enough nutrients and that is the primary problem. Otherwise I agree with gorbelly that what is on your leaves appears to be from whatever you have sprayed or very minor pest damage So what have you been spraying them with? "Blight" is just a catch-all term folks use for any leaf symptoms and has no actual meaning as such. But your plants don't show any obvious signs of any of the common tomato diseases including either Alternaria (aka Early Blight) or P. Infestans (aka Late Blight). Dave
