I am planning to update my trade list but the following are the basics: ~8 phgelius divisions 1 azalea division 1 acanthus, bear's breeches 2 or 3 grapes rooted cuttings 1 acanthus no doubt lots of feverfew and meadows rue:) lots of godetia seed pods hops vine cuttings to try I hope to post a pic of my assorted dahlias which I dont think I will have dug up by the 25th, but willing to negotiate for later. Also Karin Litzcke, I am interested in the dutchmans pipe and nectaroscodum, for which I believe I owe you phygelius.

I'm bumping this up in hopes "muffienh" or anyone else can tell me if Agastache Purple Pygmy germinated, really bloomed first year as advertised. If all of these were successful, were hummers attracted to it enough to nectar? Also, did "ellen_s" or anyone have success with Asclepias curassavica and was it winter sown, germinated indoors under lights or direct seeded in ground late fall/early winter even though it doesn't need cold stratification? I ordered 25 Asclepias curassavica seeds and was thinking of direct seeding some in front/behind spring blooming bulbs at same time I put those in the ground. I'll put rest of seeds in containers to get into enough sunlight. I put zinnias around bulb territory this past spring but took 2 months to get them large enough to bloom since rabbits kept eating them back. Hoping they'll leave milkweed alone. I'm really most interested in anyone's experience with the Agastache Purple Pygmy, though. Can't afford to buy them as plants so seeds were my next best option if I don't mess up germinating them...LOL. Hoping they germinate well, bloom first year and attract/feed Hummers. If anyone sees this post, thanks in advance for any advice or experience you can offer.

Ahhhhh, Annie. I wish I could see some lunas. I didn't know they ate parsley, though. I know the black swallowtails do. They are the so-called "parsley worms" that are yellow, black, and white - so pretty! I collect the eggs, put them in my cages and keep stuffing the cages with fresh leaves until they begin to roam and find a place to hang, form their chrysalid, and then it's wait for a couple weeks until they eclose. My granddaughter has such fun. Last year, her granddad came over to see her "worms". She said, "papa, they're not worms, they're caterpillars!" She was 3 years old! I still have an overwintering chrysalid of a giant swallowtail on my Rue. I keep watching because I'm afraid he/she will emerge too soon with this crazy weather. I had eumorpha achemons on my Virginia Creeper last year. Gorgeous huge caterpillars. They are members of the sphingid family. Hornworms. But, they lose their horn in the 2nd instar. Sometimes they are green and sometimes they are brown. They are so soft, like velvet. Very pretty cats. Gorgeous huge moths. These are the "hummingbird" moths. Also had snowberry clearwing moths on my honeysuckle. Cute little things. Tried to raise them, but boy do they like to wander. Every which way but loose! Finally (I hope, Linda), got the eumorpha achemon documented in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. Hasn't been on the NGRS map before, but it is way outdated. I love the life cycle of the butterflies and moths. At the end of summer, I finally got gulf frits on my passion vine. They come in hundreds! Such pretty butterflies, though. This year, I will grow some cassia for the cloudless sulphurs - the big yellows. The caterpillars are yellow, too! What fun! Susan

Paula, Thank you for the offer but I don't collect gobs and gobs of seeds. I just collect a few seed heads of things I think others might like to grow and a few for myself for the next year if they are annuals. I shouldn't say this here on the garden web but I toss most seeds in the trash as I am cleaning up my gardens ( take a deep breathe, stop gasping...lol). I think this year I will collect more than usual because I feel like a cheap skate when I see some of the other seed packets in swaps...lol I have added the petunias to your gift package and again, thank you for the offer.
