the window was made by la cantina and does have a screen option. we havent done it yet and really havent needed it so far. nice to have the unobstructed view. the island cabinets are a black brown color the hardware is restoration hardware lugarno pulls. I tried to order them online but the shipping was crazy and they didnt have enough. i called my local store, ordered them, they honored a 20% off coupon and gave me free shipping. I have no idea about either of those drinks you mention, but could you add a little instant coffee on your remaining supply to make it stronger? I live with my daughter and son-in-law and they both drink decaf. Right now their daughter still lives here and drinks regular coffee, but has bought a condo and will be moving out, so after she is gone I am thinking about buying a jar of instant regular coffee to add to the decaf so we won't have to make two different pots.

Regarding the question about aphids, no, mine have never had aphids. Mine have had the issue with the white powdery mildews. But like I said, the hybrids are less prone to this, all my cases of mildews involved the pure indicas (such as the Dynamite in the photo above), those hybrids (which are in fact a cross between the Indian Crape and a Japanese species, don't experience the mildews from my experience. They are somewhat vulnerable to these white, powdery mildews as Crapes seem to resent really high, constant humidity, especially if crowded and with a lack of proper ventilation. One more thing I can add, they are not heavy feeders, in fact, I NEVER have fertilized mine. However, they DO NEED FULL, day long preferably and heat. They also tend to leaf out later in the Spring, so if you don't see buds in March, don't assume they are dead. Exfoliating bark is also a characteristic of the species (not a sign of trouble), and they also take well to pruning. Personally, I like the to keep three to five of the main branches and prune growth closer to the ground. Good luck.
