I just saw on the website reviewingtheevidence.com that Ariana Franklin died. She is the author of the Mistress of Death series, which I enjoyed a lot. Did you all know this?
I didn't know this and am very sorry to hear it. I enjoyed her books very much, both those as Ariana Franklin and those under her real name of Diana Norman.
I haven't posted here in a very long time, so forgive me for jumping in, especially on a negative note. I read a lot of historical fiction and am an extremely demanding reader. Franklin's mystery, "Mistress of the Art of Death" I found unacceptable; the protaganist was a modern woman just stuck into the past. And some of her observations were impossible for the time. It's been a while since I read the book, but I remember her remarking of the psychopathic killer something to the effect that he hadn't killed in some time and he'd be needing to kill again soon. Ridiculous!
Kath, I thought this would interest you. I came upon it quite by chance. Barry Norman is a well-know UK TV 'personality', who used to have an interesting show on all the latest film releases.
