My Calamondin is really not very well. It's leaves are very droopy following a period of falling off. It is a small tree only about 24" tall, in a pot. It's not been over or under watered and the roots are okay. The tree has been removed and repotted in case it's infestation, but there was apparently none. However I notice there are still little black flies in the soil. The leaves are looking very dry and sorry for itself. It's in good sunlight. Any suggestions?

I'll post another picture tomorrow rhizo_1. As for the drainage, we are planning on installing some rain gutters to divert water runoff away from that low laying area. Have a few too many projects on the go at the moment but if you tell us the tree is sick because of water we will certainly move the gutters up the list of priorities!! Gardengal48....I did put down quite a bit of dirt right around the tree (where there is no grass) but the tree was already very sickly by then ...but when we were putting in the sod last Oct we brought in a ton of top soil and spread it around the yard before the sod went in...perhaps we inadvertinly have smothered the root system. But then again the tree was doing very well until maybe 6 weeks ago (except for the one large branch/trunk which had looked sickly for maybe 3 months) Thank you both!!

It you do not plan on using it up in a short time keep it in the fridge to keep it fresher longer. The cloudiness does not hurt it and will go away when it reaches room temp. I keep mine in the pantry because I use olive oil a few times week and don't want to have to wait for it so liquefy when I want to use it.
