Vinnmarks......I think that’s a spin down filter....does it look something like this clear one? We had two of those and they barely worked (lots of sediment still came through) and it needed flushing all the time which is why my water guy recommended the Big Blues. Those toilet tank pics were when we had the spin down filters. I hate maintenance so the the less I have to fool with things the better :)

Many jurisdictions no longer "allow" law enforcement to ask for a vehicle's registration because they can check that information on their in-vehicle computers. But, for those folks who like to have their registration with them, there is nothing that requires you to have the original in the vehicle. You can make a photocopy, blocking our your address, and keep that in the vehicle. That way, if your vehicle is stolen, or if the registration is stolen out of the vehicle when you're having it serviced, etc., the thief will not have your address. In response to the question, "Could a car thief SELL your car before you recover it?" -- the answer is no. Possession of a vehicle registration isn't enough to sell the vehicle. You need to have the "pink slip."

At 5 PM it is 112° here - the same it was at 3 PM, and the A/C is only able to cool the house down to 78°, but at least we have power, unlike one day last week. We have ceiling fans and other fans that help it feel a bit cooler inside. Pool temperature is 93°, and so it is too hot to go into the pool at the moment. We could go in at night if we wanted, but the water temperature will still be hot. I have basil and chili plants outside that I have to water two or three times a day now. I also have a jade tree that we brought from L.A. in a planter, and it seems very stressed - I do not think it will survive the summer.

Like 1929Spanish, what works for me, a single person, is contrary to sleep expert's advice. Whether I watch TV in bed at night or not, despite feeling very tired, I often find myself wide awake. I turn on the tv sound low, not quite loud enough to make out conversations - a kind of muffled background noise. I then cover up and close my eyes, and like magic, not long after I'm dozing. At some point I wake up enough to hit the nearby remote off. This works for waking up in the middle of the night for me as well. My theory is the sound keeps my mind focused trying to make out the conversation, instead of on my thoughts. I use a sleep machine at times, but if I end up wide awake, it doesn't help. Melatonin has no affect on me, but I do take Chelated Magnesium.
