Red Hot Poker - Kniphofia - HELP?

Hi.. Im new here & was hoping someone could help me.

We planted a Red Hot Poker several days ago in the corner of our large border, when planting we mixed a handfull of fish, blood & bonemeal into the soil to give it a headstart. It started of very well producing a large poker very quickly, but nearby some lupins were suffering with some kind of bugs or aphids so i sprayed these with some Bio bug-free (purple trigger bottle)

It says its ok on ornamental plants so i gave the red hot poker a light spray as its near to the lupins as i thought that would deter any aphids attacking that also, however the next day the erect & upright poker has now dropped & gone floppy!!

I have placed a stake in the ground to help support it but i think i have severely checked it or could even have killed it? Why is there not a warning on this insectiside warning of this?

Does anyone have any advice what i can do to help save this lovely plant? Will it recover or have i done my worst on the poor thing?

Many thanks

Eddie & Caroline
