The Heirloom repeat blooming Cl Cecile is thought by many to actually be Spray Cecile, the medium sized version of Cecile Brunner, taller than the original but nothing like as huge as the true climber. I grew theirs for several years and it never grew taller than about eight to ten feet. Eventually I took it out and replaced it with the true Cl Cecile from a source that is said to sometimes repeat. Last year and the year before it slept so I imagine this year it will creep. I'm counting on it, and waiting for the garden leap year. This of course is our calendar leap year but I don't think it's going to happen this year for this rose. But I have seen a Cl Cecile Brunner growing in nearby Mountain View that is the full sized tree eating monster, and it reblooms. I see a scattered repeat throughout much of the summer. Of course, none of this addresses the original question of a Gros Choux d'Hollande repeat. Rosefolly

Well . . . that looks like the other photos I have seen of Fruhlingsmorgen, but the rose at the IBG has a LOT less pink . . . in fact, it doesn't have any pink at all right now (in May). The pink edges only show up in the autumn bloom. I don't think it has dark anthers like that, either. It certainly looks more like 'Fruhlingsgold' at the moment. Yet Fruhlingsgold is described as a much larger plant, and I haven't seen any reference to its ever having pink edges. :( Wish I could figure out how to post a photo on here, but I'm not quite that computer-literate.

I wasn't much enamoured with singles but i planted dainty bess, goldenwings, sparrieshoop together on a whim. I have 3 db,1 sparrieshoop, 3 goldenwings(one was mistake). now i couldn't b without them. db is the only ht i have (is she really a ht?) that has eliminated any predjudice i had before. i am thinking about getting white wings which is a sport of db, not golden wings. they have done rather well in all the heat and humidity here.

I notice that 'Turkes Rugosa Samling' is shown on the list. Would anyone know where to find a plant? It disappeared from Canada some years ago. Thank you
