Where would you recommend to buy seeds online?

Must be able to post to Ireland.

I am particularly interested in organic seeds.

It is a French website, but it is in English, they have thousands of varieties of vegetable seeds, that are all totaly organic and are all endangered species, and the majority are very unusual.

Because after reading an article, apparently the 10 big seed companies in the world, basicaly want you to buy their seeds and thats it, even the seeds they will be selling, will be sterile, that means no fresh seed for next year from your plants, hence you are forced to buy again, not a nice situation.

Try the site out, most packets of seeds are only a couple of Euro`s to buy, and you get a lot, and you are doing the world a favour, and to keep the process going, they would like you to send some of next years seeds to them, which they will distribute to 3rd world countries.

golfcourse don't let me talk you out of Princess, my biggest gripe about Princess is the cold weather behavior which IMO limits it to the Gulf Coast and desert southwest. Like I have said use a blend and there are a few with Princess in the blend. IF your local conditions are right for Princess it will dominate, if not one of the others will.

Exotic and tropical seeds are unique so the folks over on the Tropical forum might know the sources best. And many of the different exotics have their own forum too so check them out by plant name you are interested in. Oh and check out the Garden Baazar here too as many of the seed vendors have links and info posted there. Few of the more common seed vendors that often get discussed here and on the Rate & Review Vendors forum (check it out for ones to avoid) carry unusual seeds because of the low demand but one I have dealt with is http://www.rarexoticseeds.com Another is http://www.seedman.com/ I have had no problems with either of them in the past. It just all depends on what specific seeds you are looking for as some seed vendors are highly specialized. ;) Dave

Towel Warmer - would you buy online? Recommendations

We purchased all of our plumbing fixtures and faucets for our masterbath reno from a local plumbing supply store. As commercial property owners, we did have an advantage of a contractors' discount but on a couple of occasions, including for our Runtal Solea towel warmer, I asked and they agreed to match a lower price that I found on the internet. I personally feel ok about asking them if they are willing to match prices. Our rule of thumb is that if the local brick & mortar's price is within about 10%, we'll buy from them, particularly if I have shopped there for the item or received customer service prior to the purchase. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a towel warmer via the internet as long as it was a trusted vendor with a reasonable return policy. Keep an eye on the shipping charges, if any, because towel warmers are pretty heavy!

We (almost) have to as I live on a small island in the Caribbean where I found today, only one on island company that will order, ship and install and the quote today for my frameless glass shower door - 12" fixed panel, 36" door (total 48" wide) and 72" high was $3400 plus installation !!!! The company I think I am ordering from is Hovoson and I think I found it here on this forum but as I have not ordered ye,t I have no idea if they are good or not but it's a start. Jane, If you want organic, then the place to start simply has to be the HDRA's official marketing catalogue "The Organic Gardening Catalogue" www.OrganicCatalogue.com.

I also recommend membership of HDRA for anyone remotely interested in organic gardening, perhaps not so important for organic farming as they do tend to concentrate on gardening rather than farming, despite what I believe were the original intentions of Lawrence Hill HDRA's founder that farming and gardening should be equally important to the organisation - at least that is the way I read his writings.
