This is part of the pond I buil in June last year. I think it looks well established.

Steve... I got a wee bit lost looking through your pictures (all good though). I couldn't find a recent pic of your pond.

Found it!!!! (with a little help). Its looking good Steve... nice and clear and plants coming along a treat. So will you be tempted to expand the pond this summer?

I do understand your question! your taddies and mosquito fish came in from the pond right? the pond with the muck in the bottom for the turtles? Muck and fish don't mix. The taddies and mosquito fish probably brought in parasites that came from the muck. the goldies from the pet shop were stressed from the move to the pet shop to your aquarium, so the parasites that the skeeter fish and taddies were carrying attacked them. The real problem gets back to the pond. there is no reason that you could not overwinter goldies in a healthy pond. Overwinter the turtles inside, but leave the goldies outside in a CLEAN pond and they will be just fine. You say your pond is in perfect shape...but you also say that when you stir up the muck on the bottom that fish die. That is not a sign of a pond in perfect shape, but rather a pond that has a serious problem going on. If your aquarium water quality check outs, then it is almost certain that parasites from the pond are killing the new goldies. Does that make sense?

Your post came at an opportune time for me as I am trying to work out my appliance needs. I have already bought the Gaggenau convection and combi steam ovens and have been wondering what to do about a microwave. I only use it to reheat and defrost, never for cooking (except oatmeal). I had wondered about getting a speed oven but am beginning to think this is overkill. Do you wish you had another small oven or do you feel that the combi steam fills that roll? How easy is it to reach in and clean the mw drawer? And finally, how wide is the dacor drawer? Thanks!

kimihh- I love having the trash under the sink. The sink cabinet we had before was huge and we had a trash can under there for the 6 months or so after we moved in before we started remodeling so I knew it would work for us. It's rarely an issue if someone else needs to get into the trash while I'm at the sink since the sink is so wide. I just stand over a little to the right and the pull-out can easily be used. Sheila F - it's not huge, probably 5'6" x 11' Russ- that was the original range we bought, a nice gas freestanding GE. I kept pining for a slide-in, though, and as luck would have it we stumbled on the Samsung on clearance at Best Buy for $949, about $100 more than we paid for the GE. I sold the GE on CL to a very happy woman. That was back in April when I took those dining room pictures. We are still on the road for another week but I had some time to post so I just used the ones I had!

Thanks for the thoughts. I did ask about changing after I order and was told no. They, unlike, Bosch, seem to rarely offer a deal like this. I've been planing and following and reading for a few years (and did some of their products earlier) and don't remember a percent off deal. Some, as Sherri1058 said, with extended warranties included. It seems I have to finalize my cabinets in the next week so i may need to go as planned now. I've just been waiting for that large steam oven in Europe to make it here.

I think it looks good. The fish are looking lovely. My Marsh Marigold isn't flowering like yours yet, There are buds though so maybe by next week. I don't know where you went Kazzie, it took me straight to the clip of the pond. Actually wouldn't it be great if all we had to do was click on a photo and it took us directly to the pond in real life. hmmmm... I've obviously been watching the new Dr. Who, I always liked his time travelling Tardis.

Back Again. Sorry for months absence but hectic schedule at the moment. Wish I could click on a picture and appear next to someone elses` pond. Imagine the fun we could have exchanging plants and fish etc even the odd pint of Guinness or two Sean..
