I had/have a similar drive me nuts problem with a rose. For many years I experimented with different sprays, fertilizers, advice etc. The leaves looked not unlike yours with the yellow islands in amongst the green and usually fell off about mid summer. Finally on this forum someone came up with a possible solution. It was the soil. They had a similar situation, took the leaves to their county ag office and he said it was their heavy clay soil. As water accumulates in a poorly drained soil the rose doesn't get enough oxygen and the leaves start looking funky and then falling off. My rose is going on 20 years old now and repeats the new leaves, falling leaves cycle every year. Perhaps you need to look to your soil.

Named ones= Begonia " Richardsiana" B." Snow Capped " B. "Tea Rose" B. "Hot Tamale" B. "Good and Plenty " B, "Tiny Gem " B. " Silver Queen " The Richardsiana has in pass week took a big flop , and so not sure whats up with it , taken it back into house , hope it was just heat stroking from 100 + daze we have been in for pass couple of weeks here in nastyville , so not sure about it. Two other's unknown named ones but pretty just the same and last one I think mite be B. " Sophia Cecile " not sure. I see you have " My Special Angel " have been looking at it in the catalogs . sorry I'm so long winded.... but sure there must be something in your long list that we can work with . P.s. I wont make it to any plant swap so..... not sure how we would do this if we've a mind to ???? But thanks for your time and effort if thats the only way .

I've been pretty frugal in my quilting over the last several years and have only bought fabric at garage/rummage sales so I don't necessarily end up with fabrics that I would walk into a store to buy, but as long as I don't just detest them, I buy them. The white/cream background fabrics on all of these were unusual fabrics, but they were ones that I had a lot of yardage in so they could be used as background fabrics for patterns that required lots of yardage for the background. Like another forum member said, (Sorry, I don't remember who) 'There are no ugly fabrics, just ones that have not found the right partners to dance with.' Hopefully I picked fabrics that are not awful together and fit the couples' style. The bow-tie one was hard because the couple registered mainly for board games and to have money donated to their honeymoon fund which didn't leave a lot of info to glean their style/taste from. The second one was challenging because the colors the couple registered for were orange, green, red, brown and eggplant - except not in purple but in blue. So I decided to use my 70's decorator fabric with the orange, green, brown in the background and then use the blue for the ribbon design. Now the hard part is to decide out of all the patterns on my 'some-day' list, what to do next?? I have a large amount of fabric with a black background that is a Mary Engelbreit design with teacups on it. My mind has been doing somersaults for months trying to figure out how to use it - what pattern and what other fabrics? Still not sure!

Yes, the Lady Banks do get huge. Mine in Tx City grew up all over a 20' tree and then new vines started moving back down to the ground. They're thornless, so it's real easy to weave the long "dangling" new branchings right where you want them. The plant literature says they need full sun for best flowering, but mine bloomed pretty nicely in part shade. There was a bank of oleanders behind the supporting pear tree; and the pear tree's leaves shaded a lot of the front side of it. I love yellow roses so on trellises and arbors. :) Most of the former owners existing roses are pale pink, (one antique and one hybrid tea, along with a big, near red KnockOut bush in the center "island") so I welcome some yellow out there.
