I used Miracle Gro Moisture Control Organic Soil (I bought a big bag at Costco and used it for other plants, so it is what I had here). The pot does have some drainage holes on the sides and drains out into a saucer shapped edge. I rarely (if ever) water it to the point where water comes out of the drainage spots though. When I repotted the plant the soil was very moist. The roots didn't look alarming, but to be honest, I don't exactly know what I am looking for. I have been encouraged to see some small new growth on it, but want to be sure I'm doing the right thing to let that new growth have a chance. I also don't want to throw away a viable plant, but if there is no hope, I will move on.

fert usually requires enough water to carry it down into the soil .. and warm enough temps to trigger it ... if you literally just 'sprinkled' a little bit around... then i would think that is not the issue .. especially if they didnt all respond this way ... unless on this one.. it got away from you.. and you dumped half a bag on it .... and that doesnt sound like what you did .... i think you might have a cold sink where this one is ... this is a common occurrence in my much colder area.. that the leaves roll up ... when we have a spring cold snap ... if not all winter in my MI ... i dont quite understand the pic.. except to wonder if its somewhat straight down ... throwing off our perspective ... is it at the bottom of a hill... where cold night temps might pool ... or something like that??? .. is your lot big enough that same plants in different location could react differently??? .. and you just never noticed it before ???? day temps arent as important as might temps.. have you been watching those ... any info on such??? if i havent said it before.. welcome to the forums ... ken ps: where are you.. big city name ... zone 7 is rather divergent .... as they all are ...

What room? What else is in the room? Why do you need to decide by today? The floor you pictured could be site finished wood, engineered wood, laminate or possibly a wood-look tile. No one knows, and even if they did, it probably won't look like the photo when you see it in person. You don't select a floor in a vacuum--it needs to work with what else is in your room and in your house.

Thanks for your comments! I thought it was a vase and then reconsidered calling it such because it was so big. I am open to artificial fillers! I will not put real plants in it as it will go in a rental. Here is the picture of the space. It will go where the lamp is. The couch is no longer black, but cream. Thank you. ....Here are the pictures of the space. I thought it may go in the corner. ..
