Australian Native Plants

Please Identify this Eucalyptus

There is a Eucalyptus in my neighborhood that I would like to purchase and grow in my garden, but my attempts to identify it as a novice are foiled by the fact that it is similar to more commonly available species in this area, so people assume it is one of those. I have photos and a description of the tree available to anyone who is interested in this challenge.

Looks like Eucalyptus cladocalyx, SUGAR GUM. I think it's one of our nicer gums but it's most prone to the red gum lerpes psyllid. Joe

Drew, as it happens I was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. It is not a Corymbia at all, but Eucalyptus cladocalyx (sugar gum). Apparently it is common in California, but being native to South Australia, I've never seen one. I checked it with my expert friend Gus from Spain on Hardy Eucalyptus Board. The capsules are actually too narrow for C. maculata, even though they are the same general shape. Apparently the buds of sugar gum grow in clusters of 7 or more from a single point, which then becomes a peduncle as it grows out from the stem. The bark is also not a perfect match with C. maculata, being not as closely mottled. It would help to see a picture of the entire plant or, at the least, a description of the entire plant. The 6th (I think) image -- darkish leaves -- may be a flowering crabapple.
