Hi Phil, have you heard from any memebers about these seeds? I don't have any but our local tourist centres sell all sorts of aussie plant seeds so I would be more than happy to see if I can find some for you. I will have a look around when I am down town today and let you know.... Marie.

I generally order my native's seeds to "Nindethana seeds merchant",they have a very rich choise,but ,curiously,they don't have the "Ceratopetalum gummiferum"!
I bought a small one at "Gimpie"( Queensland ) 2 years ago ,but it died!

Hi Phil, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I have looked in the three local visitor centres and have not been able to find these seeds either, which is indeed curious!! I will keep on looking and will try to find a Visitor Centre next time I head into the city.

Marie,i have sent you an email,in fact the rarety of Ceratopetalum'seeds is its short self life!
I am sure they are in bloom right know,and in a few month,i'll receive a mountain of seeds of Australian gardeners!!!

I have read in my book "Growing Australian Native Plants from Seed", M Ralph.....that Cg is grown from fresh seed, germination may be variable. Seed is sown inclosed in the dry flower head. Place the stalk end down and lightly cover the seed for best results. Sow the seed dring the warmer months. Seedlings are prone to damping off.

Also the time for collection is Jan, and Feb. So I will have a look then, as I collect seeds on a regular basis. If I manage to get some I will let you know, if you like. Not sure if they sell it in the shops. Nindethana is probably your best bet, or Harvest Seeds, try them.

Can you buy Cg, where you are ? Its very Aussie isnt it?

Concerning Nindethana,they told me,that they had stopped to sell them since 4 years,because of its short conservation!!Since now,i haven't been able to find a nursery in France,selling the Ceratopetalum,neither in Belgium,or Netherland...it exist in UK but they don't want to send to France,it's not a question of phyto sanitary,....you know the "Frog eaters"....

I have French on my mind, as I spent last weekend helping my daughter study for a French exam, she is learning it at University. Its wonderful !

Would you happen to know if there are any Universities that teach classes in English, in France ?
